okay it did the stupidist thing - when i was playing with my old nes i thought i wonder wht happens if you lick the other end of the plug wire - i thought well i've licked a battery any way i got a little shock and i quickly pulled the wire off my tounge as a reflex action. i was un harmed but i could have been DTTAH

yes, I get shocked all the time by holding my e. guitar and standing against my heater.

Yeah I was more than shocked- I was holding a faulty extension cord and touched a chain link fence. If my sister hadn't knocked the cord out of my hand I'd be toast. I couldn't move, couldn't even scream. Very painful, but luckily no permanent damage. Ever since, I've been real leery around electrical devices.

Oh and about the picture of the boot- it's rubber, which would insulate you against electric shocks. :D

Yeah when I was younger I used to touch exposed wires because I didn't know it could shock you, and yeah I learned my lesson after a few times.
