I have been a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers since I was twelve years old. In honor of my nine-year fandom of the band, I decided to discuss my superiore, in alto ten preferito Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, so here it goes.

1. "Under the Bridge"
"Under the Bridge" seems to be a preferito among fans, and I can see why. The topic is a universal emotion, loneliness. Everyone feels lonely from time to time. Even though I don't have a reason to be lonely, I do feel lonely from time to time. That's why I feel so connected to this song.

2. "Desecration Smile"
This song used to be a bit lower on the list, but it moved up a few spots, because this year, it helped me get through the pain of a Lost love. I'll explain my Lost Amore in just a bit. I also liked the lyric, "A broken record running low on luck." Since hearing the song, I've felt a connection with the lyric. I wouldn't say that I'm unlucky, mind you, but I wouldn't say I'm very lucky either.

3. "Shallow Be Thy Game"
This song reflects my belief system in a nutshell. I really Amore the lyric, "Your hell is something scary. I prefer a loving god. We are not the center of this funny universe, and what is worse, I do not serve in fear of such a curse." I get tired of these "religious" people trying to get people into believing through scare tactics and guilt. That's why I feel a connection to the lyric, "The guilt they try and give you, puke it in the nearest bin."

4. "Me and My Friends"
I Amore a good song about friendship, for friendship is one of the most important things in the world to me. I really like what Anthony says about Hillel in the song. "...I need him like my cuore needs to beat." I Amore a close friendship like that. I used to have a friend I was that close to. Of course, after high school, we went our separate ways and grew apart. Still, I do like to imagine that I will one giorno have a friend like that.

5. "Dosed"
This song is pure poetry, I think. It is sad, but it's also really sweet. I feel a connection to the lyric, "All I ever wanted was your life." My significant other recently, but not that recently, became a recluse. In my case, "All I ever wanted was your love." He had issues and was not in touch with his emotions. It still hurts. I still have this longing to be loved. No, I'm not longing for him. I just want to be loved. I know I have Amore from my family and all that, but the Amore I'm longing for is a different kind of love.

6. "Can't Stop"
This song is very catchy and upbeat. It's also an interesting song to throw into the album, da the Way, which is a mostly melodic, hardly funky, album. I don't like it when people say that all Red Hot Chili Peppers songs sound alike. "Can't Stop" sounds nothing like the other songs from da the Way. If te think all Red Hot Chili Peppers songs sound alike, te never really listened. NO TWO SONGS SOUND THE SAME.

7. "This is the Place"
I tend to be drawn to introspective songs. This song is relatively introspective. The lyric that always makes me choke up is "On the giorno my best friend died, I could not get my copper clean." I have Lost a good friend to death's painful sting. Of course, his cause of death was different from Hillel's. I'm not going to discuss it here. Still, I had a hard time with my friend's death, and November is not exactly a good mese for me.

8. "Death of a Martian"
I can definitely relate to this one. This song is about the death of a pet. When my dog, Bingo, had to be euthanized, I made a tribute featuring this song. No, it's not on YouTube. Anyway, I still cry when I hear this song. Losing a pet is like losing your best friend and a close family member all in one day.

9. "Otherside"
This song is sad, but I find it a solace when I'm having a bad day. On days when I'm wondering, "How long, how long will I slide?", I can listen to this song, and I know in the end, I'm not the only one feeling this way. It tells me that everything is going to be okay.

10. "Encore"
I felt like including a song from the new album. I Amore The Getaway, (see my review on it). I really feel a connection to the opening lyric, "Listen to the Beatles." I am a big Beatles fan.

Do te agree with my list? What Red Hot Chili Peppers songs are your favorite? If I didn't include any of your favorites, please DO NOT BE OFFENDED. These songs are my favorites. te don't have to agree with my list. As long as you're respectful about it, I don't mind if te disagree.
