Rumble Fighter Review da Cherubic
Rumble fighter is a fast paced mmo hosted da OGPlanet that offers a very unique pvp(player versus player) game play. It also has a bit of pve(player versus environnement) In this review, I will describe the different aspects of the game and give my personal opinion on it.
General Game Play
PVP
Rumble fighter is a game based on rooms, which means that in order to play, te must create o unisciti a game room. The maximum amount of players in a pvp game is 8 and there are usually 3 rounds per match. There are two pvp game modes in Rumble Fighter: Battle Mode and Rumble Mode. These game modes can be played in teams o singles. However, in a team room, the room master has the possibility to turn on Team kill, which enables players to hit their team mates without causing damage. This can greatly influence the outcome of a fight.
Battle Mode
The rules in Battle Mode are pretty simple, te must fight until there is only one remaining team o player standing. The round also ends after 120 seconds. There are many stages available in Battle Mode, 16 to be exact. Each stage has its own particularity, for instance, some stages have flamethrowers, while some have electricity strings that can stun players. Some are very small, others are a lot bigger. The variety of maps enables the players to explore different aspects of the game.
Moving Screen is probably the most popular
Rumble Mode
Rumble mode is a special type of mode that includes many ''sub game modes'' : Moving Screen, King of the Hill, Potion battle, Arena and Caged Beast. These sub game modes are very different from each other in many ways.
Moving Screen
Moving Screen is probably the most popolare type of Rumble Mode in Rumble Fighter. This sub game mode offers 3 playable maps : Demolition, Reverse Demolition, Taurus Temple and Hangar. The particularity in Moving Screen, as te would've guessed, is that the playable area(Screen) moves. If a player falls out of that area, they die. Demolition and Taurus Temple's screens go up, while Reverse Demolition and Hangar's screens go down. I find that Moving Screen is a very fun game mode, because te have to be in constant movement to avoid getting edged off the screen. During a moving screen match, te often have a very limited spazio to maneuver, so that makes the game a lot più intense.
King of the Hill
The goal in a King of the collina game is to get the highest amount of flags before the timer runs out. te can also win da getting a certain amount of flags before your opponents o the other team.In a team game, the amount of flags your acquire stacks up with the ones gained da your team mates. These flags are gained da staying in an area without getting knocked out of it. If the player who was defending that area steps out of it, another player can take the lead to defend his territory. There are two maps for King of the collina : Moonlight Cliff and Dos Palmas. Moonlight Cliff a map shaped like a mountain. There is only 1 area to gain flags and it is at the superiore, in alto of the mountain. Dos Palmas, on the other hand, has 3 areas to gain flags. The map is a lot smaller, and unlike Moonlight Cliff, the areas to gain the flags are close to the respawn points. One thing I like about King of the collina is the fact that te always respawn, which gives te the opportunity to play all along the match. However, I don't like the fact that the fighting is focused on small areas. I also don't like the fact that te have to rely on your team to win in Dos Palmas since te can't defending all the areas at the same time.
Potion Battle
In Potion Battle, a player o team wins da accumulatin the highest amount of potions.Just like flags in King of the Hill, potions gained within a team stack up. The potions are gained da picking them up and drinking them before an opponent hits you. Drinking the potions takes a few secondi and another potion doesn't respawn until it is successfully drunk da someone. te can make a player drop the potion that they are holding if te knock the down. A blue Arrow will appear on your screen if the potion falls on the ground. This Arrow will indicate the location of the potion in the map. Potion Battle is playable in 4 maps : Moonlight Valley, Zen Temple, Pirate Harbor and China Town. These maps are also available in Battle Mode. Personally, I don't like Potion Battle because te spend most of the match chasing your opponent and it can be annoying. And when you're not chasing someone, te are running from others to find a sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza place to drink your potion. Just like King of the collina and Arena, players respawn when they die.
Arena
The rules of Arena are very simple. All players start and respawn with half of their HP(health points) and they must kill the most opponents possible. Just like I mentionned earlier, players respawn when they die.The team o player that accumulates the most kills wins. Arena offers two playable stages : Hangar(not the same as Moving Screen's Hangar) and Ring of Death, which are the smallest maps in the game. The main difference between these two stages is that Ring of Death has an electric string that can stun players for a few seconds. I don't really like this mode either because of the tight spazio te have to fight. I also don't like the fact that when someone steals your kill, it really influences your score unlike other game modes.
Caged Beast
Unlike other types of Rumble Mode, Caged beast is only available in teams and has once stage : Resurrection. In this game mode, all players start with half of their HP. They also start in an unbreakable cage except one member from each team. Your cage will only break when the player from the opposite team dies o when all the cages break after a certain amount of time. I believe that this is the worst game mode available in Rumble Fighter for many reasons. First of all, there is a glitch that sets a player free from his cage. Almost everyone knows this glitch and a lot of people abuse it to win. Further more, if a person uses an exocore with an unblockable skill to kill te in your cage, te can't do anything since you're trapped. Lastly, most of the match te will be sitting in your cage doing nothing, while te are watching your team mate fight, which is very boring.
PVE
Adventure Mode
The only pve game mode available in rumble fighter is Adventure Mode. There are types of Adventure Mode : Boss Mode and Zombie Mode.
Boss Mode
In boss mode, the maximum amount of players te can have on your team is 3. There are currently 2 maps in Boss Mode, Al hata and Dark Monastery. Al Hata has 2 difficulty levels(Normal and Hard) while Dark Monastery has 3(Normal, Hard and Hell). Each map has its own boss. In Al Hata it's Typhoon and in Dark Monastery it's Sejul. Typhoon is a giant ice monster that has many attacks including an AoE ice attack and a spinning punch. Sejul is a skeleton demon that also has many attacks, including dark energy waves and an unblockable force field. The path to get to the boss are different in the two maps but generally have the same monsters(Goblins, shamans and skeletons). However, their obstacles are different. When players successfully complete a mission, they receive a chest that can be opened da purchasing a key from the item shop. These chests give many valuable items including pieces that can unlock a powerful exocore. Boss Mode can be a good fonte of carats and is a fun alternative from pvping.
Zombie Mode
Zombie Mode can only be played alone. In this game mode, the only map available is a small subway train. In Zombie Mode, the goal is to kill the most zombies in 180 seconds. Zombies can poison you, which can drain your hp pretty fast. The amount of carats and experience te get depends on the number of zombies te kill. I find that Zombie Mode is pretty boring, since te can only play it alone. te also don't do anything più than fighting big mobs in a tight space.
Moves
There aren't many controls in Rumble fighter, but da combining these controls, te get a wide variety of moves that te can perform. Depending on the Sacred Scroll te use, the punch, punzone and kick combinations are completely different. The wide variety of combos and moves offers give players the opportunity to have their own unique fighting style. Here are the basic controls and moves. Another interesting thing about Rumble Fighter is the fact that te can use a Game Controller to play.
P=Punch
K=Kick
G=Guard
J=Jump
>>=Dash(Performed da double tapping and holding an Arrow key)
Double Jump: J-J
Slide kick: >>-K
Ram: >>-P
Jump Kick: J-K
Jump Punch: J-P
Grab: P+G
Counter: K+Z
Panic Attack: P+K
Special move(Only available with some scrolls): K-Z
Stats
There are 6 stats in this game : Health Points(HP), Spirit Points(SP), Strength(STR), Armor(ARM), Speed(SPD), and Jump(JMP). Here is a small descrizione of each stat.
HP: Determines the amount of damage te can receive before dying.
SP: Determines the amount of mana te use before te can't use any exocore skills.
STR: Allows te to deal più damage to your opponents.
ARM: Allors te to reduce the damage te receive.
SPD: Increases the speed of your character's movement.
JMP: Increases the height of your character's jump.
Classes
There are 5 classes in Rumble Fighter : Striker(STR), Soul Fighter(SPD and JMP), Elementalist(SP), Alchemist(ARM) and Shaman(Balanced). All the classes are purchasable, but te start with one of the default classes, which excludes Shaman. Available in both genders, each class has their own stats, exocores and class exclusive equips. The default classes also have 1 class exclusive scroll. Female classes tend to have più sp, jmp and spd, while male classes tend to have più hp, str and arm. In my opinion, the creators of the game made a good job balancing the classes. Each class have their pros and cons. They also all have good exocores.
Items
There are 5 types of items available in the Item negozio : Face, Costume, Skill Item, Accessory and Game Item.
Face
Face items include hairs, eyes, noses and mouths. Eyes, nose and mouth items are only for looks, they don't modify your stats. The wide variety of hair items, however, includes many hairs with stats on them.
Costume
Costume items include tops, bottoms, gloves and shoes. Most of these items give stats.
Skill item
Skill items include sacred scrolls, exocores and pouch items. Skill items are probably the most important items in the game because they completely change how your character fights. Sacred scrolls, like I mentionned earlier, changes the combinations of punches and kicks your character can perform. Some sacred scrolls even change your grab and counter. Exocores on the other hand are powerups that your character can use. Unlike sacred scrolls te can equip 2 exocores but te can only use one at a time during a match. Exocores give te 2 skills and can sometimes change your combos. In order to morph into your exocore, your purple bar must be half full. The purple bar grows da itself, but te can accelerate it da hitting other players. Pouch items include many different items that give te special abilities. Since there aren't a lot, I will lista and describe them.
-Snowball and Spiked nades : If te equip these items, te can throw them on other players in-game.
-Soulstone: te can use this item to revive in boss mode. te can only use it once per game though.
-Eye of critical damage: This item lets te do critical hits, which increases your hit's damage.
-Panic attack +1: This item gives te an extra panic per round.
-Sp and hp potions: Self-explanatory.
-Omni sensor: This censor is like a little map. It lets te see where your opponents are.
Accessory
There are different types of accessories : earrings, eye accessories, mouth accessories, necklaces, upper back accessories and lower back accessories. Just like costume items, they give stats. However, upper back accessories are special. Upper back accessories include backguards, health packs(transfers some sp into hp), resurrection wings(revives te when te get knocked off the map at a 50% rate) and carat(F2P currency) multipliers(adds a certain % of the amount of carats gained per games).
Game Item
Game items include enchant items(lets te add stats to tops, bottoms and gloves), keys(lets te open boss mode chests and mystery chests), a name changer and a megaphone(lets te shout out something to the whole community).
General overview
Rumble fighter is a very different game from all the other mmos out there. I Amore it because it is just so intense and there are many different modes to the game. However, the lag in the game is horrible, just like in most pvp games. Also, players in rumble fighter tend to stack their stats, which is quite normal in any game but it gives players who don't have access to astros(P2P currency) a hard time. I like the fact that levels don't give te an advantage in this game. After lvl 15, te don't get anything according to your level. Another thing this game lacks is guilds, though everyone knows it will be released sooner o later. Rumble fighter is worth a try, and I hope that te will like it as much as I do.
