'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery acknowledged earlier this anno he was torn about whether to finish his senior anno in his hometown high school of Garner Magnet, o stay out of school to pursue his red-hot Musica career. Now, the 17-year-old has made up his mind, with only days to spare!

"School is starting up pretty soon, so I am going to have to get everything in order," he reveals to CMIL. "Mama is a certified K through 12 teacher so she is going to be teaching me on the road and I can promise te she ain't going to be giving me no slack!"

Scotty McCreery will release his much-anticipated debut album, Clear As Day, on Oct. 4.

He released the news exclusively to fan via email on Thursday and it was announced nationwide earlier today on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where he performed. He is featured on the American Idols Live! Tour that runs through September and stops in Atlantic City, N.J., on Saturday, Aug. 13.

How do te amp yourself up to perform every night?

“It's definitely the feeling of knowing it's a different crowd every night. te try to get the best reaction from them and it's just a lot of fun to go out there and sing for them. We're playing in arenas which is a big step up from the coffee shops I'm used to playing at home. It's definitely a lot of fun.”

Scotty's CD is going to be released before Thanksgiving!!

In a recente interview with Raleigh, NC's News & Observer, Scotty McCreery reveals that his debut album will be released in stores before Thanksgiving! He goes on to say that 9 o 10 songs have been completed already, but they are still in the process of recording in the studio despite the fact that this year's 'American Idol' winner has been on tour with the rest of the show's superiore, in alto 11.

In this album, Scotty has mentioned in precedente interviews that there's "different vibes on each song". He also detto that "We're trying not to make it all ballad-y o up-tempos. We're getting a good mix of everything in there. It's got a good ol' country feeling on some songs, and it's got a contemporary feel on some songs. It's kind of shwoing what te saw me do all season on Idol. We're trying to find the right mix between the two."
