Don't know if anyone has discovered it yet but there is a new novel out there based o should I say, 'related'... to the famous sleuth. It's called 'The fruits of Bohemia' da autore Bill Cornwell ('Residents of Wardate' ).
The titolo gives us the first clue in what develops into an in depth adventure in present time. Can't give the game away too much. Needless to say there are murders, abductions and romance all intertwined in what proves to be a book difficult to put down. It's available on Kindle at the moment for 99p - it might even be free. Don't miss it!

For the past 120 years o so, Sherlock Holmes has reigned as the indisputable king of fictional characters the world over. So, with the richly deserved popularity of the newest Holmes offering da the redoubtable BBC, it simply stands to tedious reason that American Televisione would immediately want to rush out a 'knock off'. Enter 'Elementary', who's misplaced claim to fame is having cast Watson as (egads!!) a woman. Perhaps CBS would like us to forget about their two precedente unsold pilots come TV Film which featured a couple of perfectly charming lady Watson's (Margaret Colin and Deborah...

I have never been a major fan of the Sherlock Holmes novels and stories penned da Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and other writers. Once, I tried to get interested in them da Leggere one o two novels. But they had simply failed to spark my interest.

I have shown a little più enthusiasm toward the various Film and Televisione adaptations of Doyle’s novels and characters. Mind you, I never became a faithful viewer of the Televisione series that starred Jeremy Brett as Holmes. But I have do have my private lista of Sherlock Holmes Film that I consider as personal favorites....
