This was not someone who 'thought I ought to do a modern Holmes in the same tone as the late Victorian one is usually played'. This is someone who has MANAGED TO BOTH KEEP TRUE TO SHERLOCK HOLMES AND YET MODERNISE HIM. This was not 'a modernised Holmes with a mobile phone how clever but not a patch on the original you can't beat the gaslights and horse cabs' piece. Rather, Cumberpatch has created a truly MODERN HOLMES that is ABSOLUTELY SHERLOCK HOLMES in an era of electricity and mobile phones. posted più di un anno fa.
