(Ok, so this is my first oneshot. Soul and maka seem a bit OoC to me... Meh... I don't own Soul Eater o Kindle.)
Maka was sitting on the couch, Leggere a book about resonating with your partners, when the front door burst open and Soul and Black*Star walked in, looking very smug about something.
She eyed them warily, not trusting their smug looks. “What did te two do this time?”
Soul grinned at her. “We got te something!”
Maka stared at them, still not trusting their smugness. “What is it?”
“I’LL TELL te WHAT IT IS! IT’S GREAT BECAUSE, I, YOUR GREAT AND MIGHTY GO-“Soul elbowed Black*Star. “And Soul… GOT IT FOR YOU!” Black*Star finished. Soul held out the package.
Maka took it and opened it cautiously. Inside laid a new Kindle. “So te don’t have to lug around all those heavy libri all the time.” Soul detto pointedly, looking at Black*Star who nodded enthusiastically at him.
“Wow, guys, I don’t know what to say!” Maka beamed at them. “I’ve wanted one for a while, now.”
Soul grinned at her and detto “How about ‘Thank-you’?” He refrained from adding “Tinytits”.
Maka smiled at him. “Thanks!” She suddenly frowned. “What’s the catch?”
Black*Star and Soul exchanged worried glances. “Uh, t-there’s no catch!” Soul stammered.
“RIGHT! YOUR GOD HAS NO NEED FOR CATCHES! HE IS TOO GREAT AND MIGHTY FOR SUCH SMALL THINGS AS ‘CATCHES’! I WONT SURPASS GOD da A ‘CATCH’”
Maka looked dubiously at the two of them, “Ri-ight.” she said.
“So anyway, we had to come and give that to you. Uh, ciao Black*Star! Wanna go play some basketball?” Soul awkwardly guided Black*Star out of the house. “Whew. Glad that’s over. Do te think she knows why we gave her a Kindle?”
Black*Star rubbed a large bump on his head, having been placed there da Maka’s book. “I don’t know, but my head sure remembers!”
Soul sighed, “Let’s hope that we get a few less concussions for now on.”
