Why do people say that Tow Mater (from Disney Pixar Cars franchise) is like patrick star?

Apparently, I heard some weird commenti on YouTube da bratty kids, saying that Tow Mater is really just patrick stella, star only in tow truck form. How is that so? Why do people say such stupid things like that? As far as I know, Mater is NOTHING like dumbell patrick! Mater is actually extremely smart and wise because the Film showed us how wise and smart Mater really is! He’s NOT stupid o dumb, he’s just incredibly sincere, simple and childlike, but he sometimes likes to conceal his wisdom. He actually unknowingly bestows wisdom on his Friends at times. Mater is actually no longer considered a sidekick to Lightning McQueen but he actually shares an equity with Lightning McQueen because Mater was a main character in Cars 2 and he again will be a main character in Cars 4! Patrick is just plain stupid and should NEVER be compared to innocent and beloved Mater! Tow Mater is a super sweet, helpful and really caring person!
