When I woke up, the son had already risen. I thought to myself why bother trying to make it to school if te are going to be late. Carlisle walked into Oakley's room. 
Samantha, your dad wants te to some home and get ready for school. He told me. 
Okay. Thanks. I told him. 
I went to my car and drove home. Alice was waiting for me when I got out of the shower. She made me wear shorts and a cute tank top. I put in my Sperrys, grabbed my backpack and other school work and headed out the door. When I got to school as usual no one talked to me. I saw Garret four times and detto ciao to him twice and he didn't say a word back. I couldn't wait till Oakley got his memory back because he would beat the leaving daylights out of him for ignoring me. He was my pack leader, the alfa but he chose to ignore me. School went da dreadfully slow and for lunch I went and sat with Oakley at the hospital. 
What are te doing out of school? He ask. 
Decided that my brother is my true bestfriend. I said. How's the memory? 
Stillthe same. I just remember everything but you. I'm so sorry. I don't know how I could forget my own sister. He said. 
Don't sweat it, no one really pays attention to me. I told him. 
Ugh, I have to go back to school. I said. 
Okay, be careful. Amore you. Oakley detto to me. 
I turned around quickly and detto Amore te too with a big smile on my face.  
That had made my whole giorno just for him saying that he loved me but he barely knew me. I dropped da the house before I went to school to get my surfboard. I got to school made sure my car was locked and went inside. School again passed slowly. None of the teachers called on me because the knew I wasn't really listening to them. I was getting great grades like all A's and as long as I'm getting good grades that all that matters. Once school was over with I walked to my car and drove to the beach. I was happy for a little but that I was surfing again but then it brought back memories of Oakley and I surfing together. I wasn't paying attention to my surfing when I was trying a new trick. I wiped out and when I did I stuck my arm out to catch my fall. That was a bad idea. My board came back over me and ended up curing my head in a small spot and then when I landed on my arm I felt my wrist snap. The blood was pouring in my eyes as I paddled back to the shore. I wiped the blood away from my eyes nurmerous amounts of times. Surprisingly my wrist wasn't hurting at all. I guess I was in shock. Luckily Matt was patrolling today because he came up and help me up to the lifeguard tower. We rode to the main tower on the four wheeler. Mr. Don was inside the main tower when I walked in. 
Samantha, what happen? He detto rushing to prepare some thing. 
Surfing accident. I told him. 
What were te thinking when te tried that frontside air? Matt ask. 
I was thinking about how Oakley and I use to surf all the time together. I told him. 
Sam, te need to pay attention to your surfing. Mr. Don said. 
I know. I detto looking down at my wrist. 
Dang te really hurt your wrist. Matt said. 
Yeah, I know I heard it snap. I said. 
Really! Matt said. 
Yeah, could te stop ke head from bleeding and I will go to the hospital to see Carlisle. I said. 
Yeah sure but I don't think te should drive. Mr. Don said. 
I agree. Matt said. 
I don't want my parents to know yet they will flip out. They don't need to be worrying about me when Oakley can't remember half of his life. I told them. 
Ok, Mr. Don can I drive her? Matt ask. 
Sure. It's closing time anyway. Mr. Don said. I'll close up for you. 
Thank you. I'll see te later. Matt said. 
Alright, be careful. Mr. Don said.
Matt grabbed a towel and put it around me then he took my board and put it in the back of the car. 
te really don't have to do this. I'm fine. I told Matt. 
te don't know if te are fine o not. Matt said. 
We rode in silence a the way to the hospital and when we walked in guess who happened to be walking out of Oakley's room. Thankfully it was Dr. Smith, Garrett's dad. 
Samantha, what happen? Dr. Smith ask. 
Shh, I don't want my parents to worry. I said. 
Okay, let's go tithe back. He said. 
Please don't tell them. They don't need to worry about me when Oakley can't remember half of his life. I said. 
Oakley what? I heard someone else say. 
I turned around and there stood Oakley and my parents. 
I'm sorry. I told Oakley. 
No, it's true but mom and dad should be worried about you. He said. 
And why is that? I said. 
Look at you! Your wrist is swollen to the size of a softball and te have dried blood on your rashguard. Oakley detto to me. 
So, surfing accidents happen all the time. It's part of my life. I said. 
So. Oakley detto mocking me. 
Just go home and see if te can remember anything. I detto harshly with tears starting to flow down my face. 
Fine. Oakley said. 
I'm- Samantha, don't say anything else. We will have a talk when te get home. te hear me? Dad said. 
Yes sir. I said. 
I started crying harder only because I knew that I was going to be in trouble for speaking to Oakley meanly and for the surfig accident. Mom and dad always hated me getting hurt. If they didn't know how much surfing was to me they would have taken it away many years ago. Dr. Smith led me into the back room and took some X-rays of my wrist and then sowed my head up. I only needed four stitches ang my wrist ended up broken. Dr. Smith put a cast on it and detto we would have to wait to see how long it took for me to heal. Once Dr. Smith let me leave the hospital, Matt was standing outside the waitingroom door. 
What are te still doing here? I ask 
Driving te home. He said. 
te really don't have to do this. I told him. 
Yeah, I know but I wanted to. He said. 
I smiled at him and then we left.
 Can we stop da the beach? I ask. 
Sure, why though? He wondered. 
It's calming and I need that before I go home to a furious dad. I said.
 Oh okay. He said. 
We drove to the spiaggia and I got out and went and sat in the sand close to the water but not to where I would get wet. It was cold out tonight and I just had on my rashguard and some shorts. I looked at my wrist and remembered that I wouldn't be able to surf. 
Your cold. Matt said. 
I looked at him with confusion in my eyes wondering how he knew that. 
te have chill bumps. He replied. 
Oh, yeah just a little bit. I said. 
Here put my sweat camicia on. He detto pulling it off. 
Thanks. I detto as I slipped it over my ruined rashguard.
I sat there thinking hiw to apologize to Oakley. I never really figured out what to say but Matt broke my trance that I was staring into. 
Samantha? He detto waving his hand infront of my face. 
Yeah, sorry. I was thinking. I said. 
About what? He ask. 
Oakley and how much trouble I'm in. My life isn't good at all it is below good. I said. 
How is that? He ask. 
Oakley doesn't remember me, Garrett hasn't spoken to me since Oakley was first inthe hospital. Wait yes he did he told me "to get back to class when te came and ate lunch with me". I told him.
He will get over it. Matt told me. 
Yeah, I can't wait till Oakley gets his memory back because one giorno I was listening to Oakley and Garrett's convo. when they thought I was spaced out and Oakley told Garrett. "if anything happens to me make sure Samantha is okay" those were his exact words. I told Matt. 
Awe, that's sweet. Oakley is deffentally going to pound Garret for sure. He said. 
I hope I'm going to be there. I detto laughing. 
Haha I'm with you. He said. 
I probably should get te home. Matt said. 
Okayyy. I detto really whinning. 
Matt drove me home and then I went into my house which was very calm. Jasper must be contoling the mood. I walked into the living room where Alice,Jasper, Esme and Carlisle were sitting on the couch. 
Thanks Jasper. I'm going to need all of the calmness I cam get. I said. 
Don't worry about it. I talked to your dad for you. Jasper told me. 
Really? Thanks. I detto giving him a hug. 
What happen? AIice detto leaping off of the couch. 
Surfing. Fell off my board broke my wrist and got fou stitches. I told them. 
I have to tell te something. Alice said. 
Okay! What is it? I ask. 
Let's go to your room. Alice said. 
I started running towards my room and then I felt hands under me. Thanks Alice. I saidd. 
No problem. She detto as she sat me down on my bed. 
Okay, tell me. I said. 
Your parents think it is a good idea for te to come and live in Forks for a little bit. Alice said. 
I felt tears starting to pour down my face. I didn't know if I was happy o sad because I was happy that I would get to see Alice everyday but then it was like no surfing, seeing Oakley o Matt. 
What about Oakley? zappa is he suppose to remember me if I'm not here? I said. 
I don't know but your parents think it is what's best for you. She said. 
Jasper was in my room now. 
Please dont follow me. I detto as I ran down the stairs, jumped in my car and sped off.  
I drove to the spiaggia with lifeguard towers.
I ran to one of the towers and sat there crying. I heard someone walking along the sand so I looked over to see who it was and it was Matt. 
Samantha, I'm so sorry. He said. 
I started crying più and più now. I couldn't control them anymore.
