This might sound random but maybe it’s just me, the song the heart asks pleasure first by Nightwish kinda reminds me of once upon a December, not much lyrically tho but in the rhythm and the tune they sound so similar

Aside from the backstage drama, I have lost interest in Nightwish because of their lack of creativity with their music. I know its their signature sound, but I saw that other rock/metal bands have made some changes to their music while remaining the same as they were known for. For example, Halestorm’s “Into the Wild Life” was less hardcore than their last album and had some classic rock/blues vibes to it, which was awesome. Kamelot’s “Haven” completely stood out from their past albums by adding cool industrial sounds and having more optimistic lyrics in their songs, despite the album having a post-apocalyptic theme. Within Temptation’s last two albums had more upbeat sounds that made you wanna dance. All of those albums wound up being just as successful as their previous ones, and I think it is because these bands actually think of their fans and want to make sure that they don’t bore them to death with the same themes and sounds all the time. Which begs the question: Does Nightwish really care about their fans and whether they want to hear something new from them, or does Tuomas only care about making his music more bigger and superior?
