I really love how the game made homosexual pairs, official ones at that, but some people don't even know they are official. They do it so it goes right over people's heads. Which is really good, because no sexuality should be treated like 'hey look at me I'm gay/straight!'. You should just be like 'those two love each other' and that is it, you should focus on their relarionship, not their sexuality. Which the Last of Us does an amazing job on.

Riley and Ellie were so well written when it came to their relationship. It's interesting to see people's different interpretations of their relationships (even though for me it was blatantly obvious with all the hints), and even though it has been confirmed as a romantic relationship by the developers themselves, people are still adamant that it is a friendship kiss.
Which is fine, I suppose, but I always turn it around and think that if it were a guy and a girl in the exact same situation, no one would think twice that it was a romantic kiss.

I made a Riley and Ellie music video on YT that got some attention and most of the comments are all going on whether they think Riley and Ellie were or were not a couple :/

But anyway, I loved their development, photobooth scene, kiss scene, some of my favourite character-focused cutscenes in gaming, ever.
