Think about it. They are totally different social classes. The Greasers are hated da everybody. The Socs are loved because of their higher status. They can get away with più because of it. The Greasers can't.

Greasers are poor and socs are rich the socs have to beat up the greasers becaues they dont have anything better to do the greasers mind their own buisness and that drives the socs crazy.
