Steve was great babysitter; holding the baby in one hand, a birra in the other, watching a football game.
“You see Grace, that’s a first down. We’re doing good.” He says, pointing at the screen.
“It’s not like she’s going to like football.” te say as te hand him the bottle.
“Nah, Grace is gonna be the first girl quarterback, aren’t te Grace?” Your boyfriend says, giving her a gentle squeeze.
te smile as te lean against the door frame, looking at your boyfriend.
He smiles up at you. “When can we get one?”
“Get one?” te laugh.
“Hey.” te smile, turning your head to baciare him.
“Miss me?” Ponyboy asks.
“Of course. I haven’t seen te in awhile.”
“I know. I just don’t want your mom and dad to get suspicious, te going to the wrong side of the tracks and all.” He mutters, just holding you.
“I know.” te mutter. “I wish it didn’t have to be this way.”
“Don’t te think I do too?” He says, holding te a bit tighter.
“I know te do.” te whisper.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you. I regret everything that happened when I first walked out. I thought it’d be better for both of us. But I was wrong.” He mumbled into your shoulder.
“I can’t wait till I’m 18. They won’t be able to tell me what to do. And I can have you.”
“And you’ll be mine.” He smiles.
