PART 7: STELLA'S POV
"Stella!" Claire hissed at me. She shook me till my teeth rattled. "WHAT!?" I nearly screamed. "It's 6:00, that's what! And don't yell at me!" She said. I sighed for a secondo and then sat up. Oh joy, my first giorno of highschool, where I would be a lame freshmen. Claire looked at my expression. "Your not excited?" She asked, wearily. "Well I guess I kinda am. I mean at least we don't have to wear uniforms like in junior high!" She laughed. "Yeah, those were pretty ugly. Now get up and get dressed lazy bones, we don't wanna be late!" She was smiling so big I thought it might rip her face in half. "I will if te stop smiling, seriously it's creepy." She glared at me. I got up and went to the bathroom. I wanted to actually look nice for once so I was gonna borrow some of Ally's clothes when teh bathroom door opened. It was Ally. "Alright, no need to fear when i'm done with you, your gonna look hot!" After 30 minuti of clothes, hair, and ,akeup I went to the mirror. My makeup was exccelent, not too dark nor too light. My hair was in it's natural waves. I was wearing a white camicia with some sort of band's name on it and a little grey vest over it. shorts, and hightop black converse. To superiore, in alto it off I clipped a piece of my hair back and pulled it around front. Perfect. I hugged Ally, grabbed my backpack and ran to Claire's. "Bye dad!' I yelled before jumping the stairs. I knocked on the door at Claire's. It was one of the twins that answered. "Eli?" I asked. "Nope. Max." I laughed at myself. 'Right, I knew that." He sighed and let me in. "Stella! Omigosh is that you!? te looks beautiful!" Mrs. Winters detto running from the cucina to give me a hug. "thanks." I laughed. I went up to Claire's room not bothering to knock. She was pulling her hair back so it was half up half down. She was wearing a long sleeved blue camicia and a white gonna with some pretty sandals. Her makeup was as perfect as usual. She smiled when she saw me. "You look awesome, Stell! Very...edgy." She complimented. "It Suits you." I laughed. "Ally did this, but yeah I like it too." She grabbed her back and walked in front of me towards teh door. "You look great, too!" I said. i wouldn't have worn it, but it looked spectacular on Claire. 'Thanks." She smiled heading out the door. "Bye mom, and dad." She detto baciare them on the head. I rumpled Eli's hair on teh way out. I knew it was him because he smiled widely. I laughed. "Bye Stella!' He waved. I waved back. The walk to the bus stop was quiet. Once on teh bus it was the opposite. Heads turned when Stella and I got on. A brown haired boy sporting a rocker type look winked at me. I giggled and sat down successivo to Claire. I could feel the stare boring into my back. "Claire!" i whispered. "Everyone is looking at us!" She giggled under her breath. "Can't say i blame 'em!" I laughed at that one and peeked a glance over my shoulder. I reconized the red headed girl that dated Ethan in teh back. I flashed a smile at her and flexed my knuckles. Everyone looked back at her. She was glaring at me. There was a small mark on her cheek that was noticably covered with foundation. Had I done that? I hoped so. She deserved it! I winked at her and turned around. No one saw. Claire looked angry. "If I wasn't a pacifist I oughta kill her!" She growled. I laughed at that too. Oh sweet Claire. Once we got to school we found taht our lockers were right successivo to eachother and we had 4 out of 7 classes together. We walked to first period biology together. When I stepped in th doorway i spotted Ethan and Will sitting towards the back. Ethan waved, friendly at me and a different way at Claire. I smiled and waved back while Claire giggled. We sat at teh tavolo in front of them. Claire sat da teh bacheca and I sat in front of Will. Thank god, this means that if Claire and I are at the same tavolo I get a smart lab partner. i turned and looked at Will, hopefully. He was staring at me. Ethan and Claire were chatting away. "hey." I detto akwardly. "You look great." He said, still cautious. he was looking me over, probably wondering about the giorno on teh beach. He looked down at his scrivania, reception and whispered so low I could barely hear. "What happened...that day?" I was guarded and cautious. "Will...please." I pleaded. "Later?" He asked. "Sure." I said, not knowing if I would keep my promise. He smiled at me. Suddenly there was a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see a tall girl with sandy blonde hair and glasses. "Your Stella, right?" She asked, smiling. I was cautious. "What do te want?" I asked. Her smile widened. "I was wondering if your gonna try out for the swim this year. I remember last anno te were quite the swimming champion!" Her voice was naseley. Will looked up, curious. Don't panic. I thought to myself. "Umm, no. Swimmings not really my thing anymore. I might do vollyball though. o maybe even basketball." Her smile faded. "Well alright, but i'm not gonna be the one to tell teh rest of teh swimteam were not going to sections!" She snapped. I glared and she walked away. Will laughed behind me. "Seems to me like te should unisciti the swim team!" I glared at him, too. "Are te kidding me? I don't really liek swimming anymore. I was just fast." His eyes narrowed in. "I beg to differ. But I believe the fast part." The teacher cleared his throat and teh campana, bell rang. "Welcome to Bayside, freshmen!" He sais happily. Then he wrote his name on teh board. "I am Mr.Perry and I will be your Biology teacher. I hope te all like your seats because that's where you'll be sitting teh rest of the year." I smiled at Claire and she high-fived me under the desk. Other kids except Will and Ethan groaned. The class was short and he spent most of the time talking about what we would be doing tomorrow. Will walked with me to my successivo class, which we had together. Claire wasn't in this class, and neither was Ethan. they walked hand in hand to Math. In english class Will sat da me and we began chatting about his vollyball team and when teh season started again. Suddenly, the guy from the bus who's name I didn't know sat down successivo to a girl named Ciauna behind me. She glared at him and scooted an inch away. "That sede, sedile is taken!" He looked at me. "I'll only be a minute, chill out." I trned and smiled at him. "Your teh guy from teh bus, right?" I asked. He laughed a little. "Yeah." Will stiffened. "I didn't catch your name." I detto to him. "David. and te are?" "Stella." I answered. "Well it's nice to meet you, Stella. Will I see te on the bus ride home?" He asked, pleasently. Will turned and looked at me. "No, Stella will be riding home with me today." He detto grouchily. David glared and mouthed teh words "preppy boy" to me without Will seeing. Then he got up and sat da some other rock n roll kinda guys. "What was taht all about?" Will asked. "What? He was just being friendly. It would be nice to get to know some people." He looked at me coldly. "David Blackmen is not teh friendly type." I was angry now. "Will! Are te jealous?" I detto unbelievingly. He smiled slyly. "Maybe a little." I laughed. The rest of teh giorno went da slowly. I had nearly every class with Will except 5th, which I had with Ethan. Claire walked to the room successivo door which was English that i had already been to. I waved at her and she smiled before going in alone. Will stood with me in teh doorstep of my history class. He leaned down and kissed em on teh cheek. Then he walked quickly as if not to be late to his 5th period class. I was happy this giorno was going well. When I walked into history, Ethan patted teh sede, sedile successivo to him, which I planned on siting in anyway. "How's the first giorno so far?" He asked when i sat down. "Good. What about you?" I detto fussing with my shoe. "It was ok. So ciao did te hear teh news?" He asked. I looked at him curiously. "I am now officially dating your best friend." I smiled. "Anout time!" He laughed. "She's great. But hey, she sais she has to mostra me something after school and wante dme to ask your "permission" first?" Gret. She was gonna blow the mermaid secret right after school! I paniced. But ciao it would be pretty cool to have someone non-fishlike in on the secret. he could help us. And Ethan was smart too! But what if he told someone?! I had to take the chance, for Claire. "Yeah, watever. Permission granted." I tried to sound cool but my voice was higher than usual. He smiled. "Great."
At lunch we all sat together in one of teh cerchio tables at the back. Suddenly the red haired tramp sat down successivo to Ethan. Claire froze and I glared. "What are te doing here?" I asked furosiously. Will's arm tightened around me in response. "I wanted to apologize-" I cute her off. "Not accepted. Buh bye!" "Yeah!" Claire joined in leaning around Will. "You shut up!" She hissed at Claire. I was about to jump across teh tavolo when Claire took me da suprise. She stood up straight and tall. "Look here te two dollar Coca Cola whore, back off o something bad is going to happen to you." She hissed back. I held in a laugh. 'What, are te gonna have your little friend protect you?" She mimicked her, laughing. I stood up and grabbed my milk. I poured it over her head. "Yeah that's teh plan!" Claire yelled as she ran away, crying. Ethan and Will laughed. I high-fived Claire across the table. "Way to grow a pair, Claire-de-Cat!" I laughed. Suddenly teh whole lunch room was shouting our names and clapping. What a perfect first giorno in Bayside High SchooL!
