The woods were really dark even thought it was a sunny day. It was also kind of scary and dangerous, with all those creatures lingering around.
“Charlotte, please be careful!” Yelled James. “I think you’ll be much better off if te untransformed. This is the fifth time you’re hitting a tree!”
“C’mon James”, detto carlotta, charlotte turning around to look at James, still flying. “You don’t know how wonderful it is to be a fairy.”
“You might be right, but te haven’t taken any flying lessons yet.”
“No I haven’t. But haven’t te heard? Practice makes a fairy perfect! And I think I’ve improved now. I haven’t hit a albero for five minutes. And there is no way I’m going to hit another-“
“Watch out!”
Just then carlotta, charlotte hit a giant albero and fell down with a thud.
“Ouch! That hurts”, she detto as she got up massaging the back of her head.
James ran towards her and held her da her arms.
“I told you, I told te you’d get hurt!” He detto shaking her.
“Hey”, detto carlotta, charlotte shaking of James’ hand. “Easy, te might fracture my hand with your grip! Wow, we’ve reached Alfea already?” She got up and looked over James’ head, smiling.
“Oh, that was quick”, detto James’. C’mon lets go.
“James, I think te should head to Redfountain now. I mean, Alfea’s just a few miles away.”
“No way, I’m not going until you’re sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza in your dorm. We have to be careful, can’t say where danger’s hiding around here.”
“Please James’ it going to be alright, okay?” Promised Charlotte. “ Remember? I’m a fairy….”
“Yeah, but te don’t know anything about magic yet, remember that?”
“Fine”, sighed Charlotte. She walked in through the gate, James following her like a bodyguard.
There were fate everywhere. And everyone was chatting happily. Probably about the new adventures they’re going to have this year.
carlotta, charlotte looked around, excited. She had never seen so many people and that too, happy. From where she came from, she used to just stay in her castello all giorno because her dad says it’s too dangerous to go outside. And now she felt like she had been let out from a cage and was free to do anything.
“Yeah, I better go then”, detto James looking nervously at a group of girls who were looking at him and giggling.
carlotta, charlotte knew what was happening at once. “Oh, so you’re not taking me to my dorm. I thought te said-“
“That I would only leave when you’re sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza in your dorm”, he completed. “Yes, I know. But there are so many people here, there is no way anyone can hurt you. Okay then, I’ll have to leave now, o I’ll be late.”
James hugged his little sister in a hurry and ran back to the woods without turning back. carlotta, charlotte watched, as her brother disappeared into the woods. Tears trickled down her cheeks and she was aware of it only when someone asked her, “Hey, are te crying?”
carlotta, charlotte saw the speaker standing right in front of her, looking at her with a smile. She quickly wiped away her tears and smiled at the girl. The girl had long honey-brown hair and shiny black eyes.
“No, I’m just……um…something went into my eye”, detto Charlotte, trying to look cool.
“Okay”, detto the girl, laughing. It looked like she knew carlotta, charlotte was crying. “By the way, I’m Lilly. Are te a freshman?”
“Nice to meet te Lilly. I’m carlotta, charlotte and yes, I’m a freshman”, detto Charlotte.
“Great, I’m a freshman too! Hey, wanna have a coffe o something? We could check out the cafeteria…..”
“Sounds like fun”, detto Charlotte.
“You might have to untransformed first”, detto Lilly, giggling. “I wouldn’t prefer my fairy outfit to the cafeteria.”
“Oh, yeah”, detto Charlotte, blushing. “She untransformed and was now dressed in a blue superiore, in alto and denim.”
“Let’s go”, detto Lilly. And they walked towards the cafeteria, talking excitedly.

“Okay girls”, detto Ms.Girzelda strictly. “Welcome to Alfea. And as te know, our school is one of the best Fairy schools in the magical dimension. So you’re actually lucky to be here. Therefore it is your responsibility to make sure te do nothing that might earn te a dismissal. Now, you’re going to be here for the successivo five years and Alfea is going to be your home during these five years. So, there are certain rules and regulations you’ll have to obey. Rule number 1, No one is allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of Ms.Faragonda o me. Rule Number 2, te should have a friendly relationship with every fairy in this school. If anyone is seen harassing, abusing o hurting another fairy, severe actions will be taken. Rule number 3, te are not allowed to bunk classes. If you’re caught bunking classes te will be suspended. Rule number 4, te are not allowed to visit Cloudtower. Rule Number 5, Obey all the rules.”
Lilly felt like she had just joined the army. She stared, bewildered da all these rules. She thought life at Alfea was going to be fun.
Is it because of this that my Friends told me I was the luckiest girls in the world? This school sucks. I should’ve joined an army instead. I would have been più free there. She thought. At least they never detto we couldn’t visit Redfountain. Wait, that goes with rule number 1! Oh no!. All Lilly could do was heave a long sigh and hope for the best.
Ms.Faragonda was speaking now. But Lilly had no time to listen to her, she had other things to worry about. What if she felt a sudden urge to go shopping? What if she gets caught while trying to sneak out and go to Redfountain? What if they make her wear dull uniforms. Oh no, she really had a hard time ahead of her!
“Hey, lets go to our rooms”, detto Charlotte.
Lilly felt like someone had taken her bag from her hand and she turned to look who it was and found a small elf standing in front of her. The elf had red hair and wore a green hat and rags. She could see many più elves in the room. They all wore rags and green hat. But some had blue hair.
Lilly’s elf carried all her luggage for her. It lead the way to her dorm. Lilly didn’t see carlotta, charlotte anywhere. She had disappeared. Her bags were heavy for the elf. The little thing was trying very hard to keep him from loosing his balance while carrying the heavy loads. Lilly couldn’t help feeling sorry for him. She tried to help him, but it shot an angry glare at Lilly whenever she tried.
Finally she reached her dorm. It had a golden door and on it was the number ‘89’. She opened the door and the elf got in and put down the luggage one da one until everything was on the floor. Then, it just left without saying anything.
The room was very bright and pretty. The walls were painted white and there was purple cutains on the window. There was one letto against each side of the bacheca and there was a total of five. The beds had white sheet over them and purple pillows. There was a tavolo with a lamp and a chair which faced the window near each bed.
It seemed like Lilly was the last one to reach the dorm. The other four girls were already there and were busy unpacking. They seemed to already know each other and were talking.
“Matilda, have te seen my hairdryer?” A blonde asked a blue haired girl.
“Why should I see it? I have my own!” Replied the blue haired girl.
Another girl was lying on the bed. She was texting someone. The girl had beautiful golden hair and lovely brown eyes. Another girl, who looked so much like her was talking to someone on her cell.
The girls in the room completely ignored Lilly. Even when they saw her, they didn’t even smile o say a hi o at least ask her what she was doing in their dorm.
“Very welcoming!” Lilly muttered under her breath. She decided to unpack her bag . She took out her clothes and arranged them neatly in her wardrobe. Once that was done, she just sat on the bed, bored to death.
Finally, the golden haired beautiful girl spoke to her.
“Hey, you’re in this room?” She asked.
“Yeah”, detto Lilly.
“Mel, I thought te talked to Faragonda”, she detto to the blonde girl.
“Yeah, I only detto I talked to her”, she replied. “I never detto she allowed!”
“Great! Now we’re stuck with some stranger! And poor Bella is all alone!”
“Serves her right! I think she was a little bossy!” detto the blue haired girl.
“Shut up! Bella’s our friend!” detto the girl who looked a lot like the golden haired girl.
“Rose is right, we have to get our Bella back”, detto the beautiful girl.
“But Yasmin, Mel talked to Faragonda and she didn’t allow”, detto the blue haired girl.
“Maybe if I ask her, she might allow”, boasted Yasmin. “After all, I’m known for my extraordinary talent to charm people!”
Lilly felt sick standing in the middle of those girls! She felt like she wanted to run away. She had realized that the girls didn’t like her and she had a feeling they were the popolare girls in the school. Those kind of girls who like to torment the weak ones! But they looked like freshmen. Anyway, Lilly knew her whole anno was spoiled. She was already stuck with these girls. She was already sure she would have a great time!
