And the people around them knew it too, they all saw what happened behind the scenes. o at the very least filled in the blanks when they saw him out on the strada, via with some random woman. And for whatever reason, Musa was Hellbent on proving them wrong, più Hellbent than Riven himself. She simply would not let him go. Riven knew it, without the money to buy a bus ticket o a ride of his own, he'd be home late again. Musa's dorm was a long way away from the shop, but if that long walk was what it took to make her birthday special he'd do it. For once the boy made it to Musa's dorm before midnight. Needless to say, he was not invited. Musa's 5 Friends served as strong bodyguards.

It wasn't long before the girl came around the corner. Before she could speak Riven began telling her of how he found her the perfect gift and he wanted to get it to her one way o another. That he was so determined that he worked from the time he got out of class to 6:00 and totally sucked up to his boss until he earned enough to buy her the headphones.
