This scene really gets to me. Rivkin asks him whether he really expected him to leave Ziva just because he threatened him. The door closes and then he says "I had my hopes." It's like, when the door closes, he feels it's sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza enough to say it. I can't get over that.

Throughout their six years, he is the only one who has been permanent, the only one who has never let down, at least not on purpose. They are each other's constant.
