Chapter 11
Game on
“So I’ve been knocking on the door for ages,” Talia shrieks. “But te never answered! Never! And you’re here! And Beth’s here!”
One thing te learn to not like about Talia, is that she never talks normal, yelling is her normal level of voice.
“Oh…” I stall until a brilliant plan comes to me. “Beth and I were listening to Musica quite loudly, getting ready for our sleepover with the girl’s and finishing our homework.”
“Good thing your father let me in our I would’ve missed out!”
He is so going to hear this in the morning.
“Okay, why don’t te go home and get your stuff and come back, we’ll be right here.” I say, flashing my fake bright smile that’s conned my parents for years.
“Don’t worry! I’ll be fine!” Talia gives us a smile that makes us back a few steps while in criss attraversare, croce position.
“So…um.” Beth pauses. “Should we order pizza?”
“Is Grey coming?!”
Not near you! pappagallino verde africano, lovebird wrecker!
“No!” I yell, as I think these thoughts, they both stare at me.
Luckily I’m saved from explanation because Sage and Ali enter wearing grim faces but soon put on a bright smile. “Hey gals.”
“Hi-” What I’m about to say is wiped from my mouth when Meredith enters the room. “What the caramella fondente, fudge fuddidy fudge.”
“Don’t freak out, don’t freak out, don’t freak out.” Beth chants under her breath.
“What. Are. You. Doing. Here?” I say calmly, the last thing I need is her joining us.
“For the sleepover duh.” Meredith says.
“And who invited you?” I ask, looking to my two gals, who shrugged helplessly.
“These girl’s were at my house discussing the plans with their little club with my mom, who happens to be parental leader when te called them and mom told me unisciti them.”
“Club Aprenta?” Beth asked, our little club the four of us made when freshman to have an excuse to hang out after school together due to different classes.
Meredith nodded.
I clenched my jaw. “What about Cal? Aren’t te hanging around with him all the time?”
Meredith smirked. “My Cal is busy helping improving the world.”
Oh no she didn’t!
All my gals faces had the same expression: oh yes she did.
“Then let’s get this sleepover done!” I detto with false cheerfulness, sounding like a bubbly cheerleader.
“Yeah, Cal promised me tomorrow morning he’d take me to breakfast.” Meredith looked at me levelly.
“Of course.” I said, looking at her just as.
Game on.

I'm cheerful on the outside yes, but under this huge hyperfilled, cheerful girl is a fragile antique.
On the outside some see me as normal o energetic maybe the one mela, apple with a hole in the barrel.
I'll plaster a smile every now and then to mostra the me-the fake me- to disguise the actual one pulling the strings.
As I stand before the mirror starring at myself I see that figure looming behind me his hand on my shoulder.
And at that moment my mask breaks and I'm stunned at my actual self.
I'm filled with depression, sadness, anger and haterid.
Never did I want to ever see the true me.
The mirror breaks and the man successivo to me whispers "Your mine." I look down in defeat.
Dropping to the ground-on my knees-I begin to cry.
He got the better of me and now I am no more.
"I'm a monster." I say to myself through a sob.

"I'm a monster." I say to myself through a sob.
I am a broken-winged eagle
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,
"What's the use? Nothing is my talent. Give up."
People think I am nothing but stupid,
But I can see that light within myself.
I have not yet soared.
I have not yet found my dream.
One day, I find something unique to dream for.
Writing.
Something that can take me to faraway places
Anywhere, beyond this universe.
And now I can soar.
Far, far, faraway
Where no one can catch me.
Where no one can disturb me.
Where I can be free.
Where I will no longer be
A broken-winged eagle.
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.

Let us hold hands in joy
Let us sit on the warm white sand
And let us watch the sun set tonight
We're gonna be a pair
We're gonna fly away
And let nobody go into our minds
Toni-i-ight
We're gonna slowly stand up
Listen to the waves
Roar and wash into the sand
And I'm gonna lean on you
Oh where were the times?
Where were the moments?
It seems like last year
When I kissed te and locked eyes
The sun's settin
But we're never gonna leave each other
Not if we stay together
Like ever...like forever
Watch the sun set
Watch the waves roll into each other
Oh my dear,
We're gonna never be separated
Sun sets,
Waves roll,
We're gonna sleep...
Side da side.
