I was running.Pounding through the trees of Forks that I knew so well.I had only one objective in my mind right now,and that was to kill the bloodthirsty monster streaking through the trees ahead of me.The plan was to drive her to Quil and Paul who were waiting about a mile off.
As she streaked through the trees,I thought about the giorno that we all found out what she wanted.Bella.She would never touch her!Nothing could touch Bella.I couldn't let that happen!
The truth was,I loved Bella.She was the only thing worth living for.Without her,I would be just your normal,depressed,teenage werewolf!The Amore for her kept me going.I had to kill this monster.
But something was wrong.Victoria hesitated,and in that diviso, spalato second,Quil and Paul bursted from the dense undergrowth.Paul lunged for her throat,and Quil went for her legs,but she grabbed Paul's foreleg and swung him around sending him crashing into Quil,who lay,dazed.NO!
This couldn't happen!I had to protect Bella.Suddenly a loud splash caught my ear.My ears could hear from miles away.But that wasn't all.A loud gasp sounded from the cliff that we all dived from.
But that was Bella's gasp!The water was to rough today!I had to save her.The parasite must have noticed it,too,because she streaked off toward the water.I ran after her.I had to get there to save Bella.As I neared the cliff,I saw her jump off.
I didn't hesitate.I cannoned down into the water.Underneath,I saw Bella's still body floating toward the surface.Victoria was streaking toward her with amazing speed.I couldn't let this happen!I swam as fast as I could to Bella's drifting body.
The monster must have thought it was the whole pack because she twisted around and swam off to Who-Knows-Where!I grabbed Bella's collare with my powerful teeth and swam off to the bank.Once there,I dropped her and phased back.
I leaned down and did five hard chest compressions,then I leaned down and breathed hard in her mouth.I always dreamed of baciare her,but not this way!I repeated the process a dozen times.Why wasn't she breathing?!?All of a sudden,she coughed up water,retching hard.
"Bella!"I said.
"Jake?"she hoarsely asked.Thank God!She was alive!"Come on,"I said."I've got to get te home."
I gingerely picked her up and ran back to her waiting truck.-Jacob
