Disclaimer: The following is a review which is based on my opinion. Nothing is fact and no ones opinion is 100% so if te don't fully agree I respect your opinion.

The Review
Welcome to the wasteland of the old US of A. Its dark, damp full of radiation and everyone's welcome after all it is the land of opportunity.

The story
Fallout is simply put a game about surival in a war torn earth, everything from people to roaches have been mutated and people struggle to find water of all things.
te begin life in volta, vault 101, an underground shelter where people fled when the bombs dropped and when i say begin life I mean it as te play your life up until teens years in the vault. It is really unique and draws te straight into the game. After everything goes pera, corpo a pera shaped,(which is a saying that really doesn't make sense) te leave the fault and te make your own way in the world from adventure to side quests te do to the places te see the wasteland is huge.
During the games story te will find out things about your familys past some true some not but the main conflict will be between the Enclave and the brotherhood of steel as te try to purify the waters in the wasteland o destory all life. All would be good if not for one drawback, once the game ends it ends no matter which ending te choice the game ends this is the only drawback of the story.

Enclave o Brotherhood of steel? Who to trust...

Gameplay
Gameplay is not as te would expect. te can choice to look 1st o 3rd person, 3rd being the better option when it comes to shooting. Yet it is not the shooting that makes fallout standout its the V.A.Ts system which allows te to target body parts on te enemy this gives a percentage to te so that te can choose where to shoot. This works surprisingly well as it never seems forced o awkard.
When it comes to character development in rpgs its vital and fallout does it greatly. Every level te gain a perk as well as points to put towards skills. Perks can range from canibal to Gun nut. te also can gain points in S.P.E.C.I.A.L which stands for strength, precition, edurance, chraisma, intelligence, agility and Luck.

Overall
If te where a fan of oblivion o a fan of rpgs in general then I think te will get some good play time out of this game. The story is great and the gameplay is unique. If this is te then its a must buy and if your not sure wait till the price goes down.

There are some people that play video games so much that they aren't used to real life. te may not think you're one of them, but it's likely te are indeed if:

You look at a bottle of water o a pond and think, "Such nice water effects."

You convince your friend to toss a stick of dynamite between your feet thinking you'll benefit with electric powers in the aftermath.

When learning about the Spartans and Thermopylae, te can't help but think of the big dudes in the green suits.

You ask your local hospital to take an autopsy of you, saying that te want to be able to impale people with your bare...
