The Thor films have really changed for the better. 2011's Thor and 2013's Thor: The Dark World were decent, but left room for improvement. A new director, Taika Waititi, came in and took the franchise in a new direction. He has changed Thor for the better. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor went from being an okay character to being the funniest hero in the entire MCU. That's thanks to the director, as well as the film's star, Chris Hemsworth.
