WINNER share their thoughts on their successful debut + rank #1 on iTunes charts of multiple countries
It has only been two days since their debut and WINNER have already defied their own expectations by achieving not only an all-kill on domestic charts, but also surpassing 1 million views on YouTube, and now ranking #1 on iTunes charts of several countries.

While the boys continue to rank high on music charts in Korea, they\'ve also been spotted at #1 on iTunes top album charts of Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. They also hit #39 on a chart for the U.S. as well.
With all this immediate success, it seems the boys had a hard time believing it themselves judging by their thoughts expressed through an interview with the media.
Kang Seung Yoon: "It was a totally unexpected result so it was bewildering. In order to repay the support that our fans have given us, I thought that I should work harder."
Song Min Ho (Mino): "I\'m deeply moved by it! Thank you so much! It\'s amazing. More and more fighting!"
Kim Jin Woo: "I\'m really happy. It feels surreal. I will work harder."
Lee Seung Hoon: "Lee Hi and Akdong Musician achieved good results that are not typical of rookies before us so I congratulated them, but at the same time I felt a lot of pressure. As much as we prepared a long time, the results turned out to be good so it feels like I made it up to those who waited for us so I\'m happy."
With these feats under their belt, WINNER will go on to perform at the \'
AIA Real Life: Now Festival 2014\' alongside their YG Family artists on the 15th and then finally perform their debut stage on \'Inkigayo\' on the 17th.

i read it somewhere that they were even crying hours after the release :) fightingggg
Honestly, the last time I was this impressed by a rookie group was when BTS debuted. I had my doubts about WINNER (whether their delay was due to a weak album or that the reality show had taken too much out of them and that they needed a lot more time to prepare) and I\'m pretty damn happy they proved me wrong. This album has got to be one of the most solid -if not best- album put out by a rookie group these past few years. This is a group that knows what they want to sound like and how they want to present themselves. It\'s refreshing to see a group come out like this. I also find it hilarious that people are solely attributing this group\'s success to being in YG Ent. It seems as if JYP & SM didn\'t get the memo as the newest boy/girl group that they\'ve debut have been underwhelming; not bad, but not amazing either. Being in the so called "Big Three" can only take you so far. It seems as if people like to cherry pick and not think of groups like: Busker Busker, Nell, Infinite, Block B, B.A.P, BTS, Girl\'s Day, etc. All debuting and becoming successful -an utter shock- while not being under "The Big Three." Does WINNER get more attention because they\'re from YG? Of fucking course they do (we\'re talking about a company that hasn\'t debut a boygroup in fuckin\' eight years), but the success they\'ve had isn\'t by riding the coattails of the company, it\'s for their talent, being daring enough to to have two title tracks that are mild to slow tempo, and having practically 90% of the album consist of self composed songs. I\'ve been completely blown away by these guys and look forward to their future, it seems pretty damn good.
thank you for your sweet comment. let\'s support winner and other upcoming + current rookies for their bestest best.
I don\'t know why anyone is feeding the haters ignore them and just be proud of your boys WInner accomplished allot already so lets just be happy with allot of love comes hate, plus it takes to much energy to be bitter ^.^
Proud YGStan, and i want to see the boys win some trophys before they\'re off to Japan, plz, make that happen
Why some people expect them to be hiphop? A genuine IC will know from the very start that they\'re not a hiphop group, base from WIN (Who is next) to WinnerTV, we can see that they are very different, AND don\'t compare them to BIGBANG/GOT7/EXO cause WINNER is created to be different, they want to be known for being WINNER with their own style, a true IC will understand. As a fan, I\'m very much contented with the album, they introduce themselves as a soulful artist not an idol.
This album is plain. i was expecting something like big bang with a GOOD mixture of rap, high notes etc ... but what i listened are just never ending rap, the singing part is just plain and boring. The album started off nicely and i enjoyed the first few tracks, but after reaching the 5th, it is starting to get boring ... to me not excellent but a passable album only ... hopefully YG can give these guys more varieties of songs with good mixtures of rapping, high notes so they are able to show their real talents. and i believe they getting all kill this and that is just because of the anticipation from everyone. Nothing is memorable in this album, IMO.
Though I\'m originally a Team B-biased. That won\'t stop me on supporting these talented boys. I\'m so happy on what they\'ve achieved so far and what will be in the future. They deserve everything after their hardwork. Congratulations WiNNER on your successful debut!!
Both effort and expected that my kids love
and this is only the beginning of a big road wins, so we\'re expecting more prizes!
its good to see Lee Seunghoon friendship with Leehi & AKMU...took him ages to debut/succeed since \'KPOPSTAR\'
People are talking that the only reason why WINNER are being successful is because they are from YG. So that it\'s true YG is big name so it helped to the success and that´s the point, no anyone can become a YG artist because they are extremely selective, the company look for the real talent and that´s what WINNER is, they are good and talented boys and that is why they made it in YG, you haters deal with it!!!
i do believe that SE7EN said it one time its hard to get in at YG Entertainment...
Congratulation to Winner. I\'m a big fan of Big Bang and at 1st I\'m kind a skeptical as to what will these guys sound like... But this debut proves it that are not imitator. Good Job YG for bringing us new talent w/o attaching them to their sunbae. Big Bang and 2NE1 is a legend.. Lee Hi, AKMU and Winner it a new era... Different story, differ feel but still one family...
