He sits, staring blankly at the tray tavolo seven inches from his face. He leans his head ever so slightly to the right, then ever so slightly to the left, watching the black line jump the sides of his nose. He has watched it every giorno of his life, always taking it for granted, never questioning its presence. But it is here, on his hands, his pants, his shirt, his nose. It is everywhere, a defining edge, mostrare the ending of one yet the beginning of another. It changes from points of view, disappearing in your vision while still existing in your friend’s. It is there but cannot be touched, cannot be felt da the ones that wear it. And everybody does. Every single visible thing has at least one black line, living o dead, big o small, animated o stationary – all do. Yet no one notices. It is such a common thing that no one cares. It exists; it must have a function. But it cannot be felt, cannot be touched, so how can it be tested? How will its existence ever be proven worthy?
Maybe without it everything will just fall apart.
Maybe without it everything will just fall apart.
I sit and wonder…
Whatever happened to the days?
Watching BSG and Lost with Charles,
Playing stella, star Wars with him,
And Shortys?
Whatever happened to the days?
Of Josh helping me through the grief of my father’s death.
Whatever happened to the days?
Of chicken and egg insalata sandwiches at the SUB and take-out Chinese for dinner?
Whatever happened to the days?
Of GIRLS NIGHT OUT!
Whatever happened to the days?
Of spring at KU?
Whatever happened to the days?
Of KU’s waterfall and walks at midnight…
Whatever happened to the days?
Of all my Friends at KU, and what great Friends they were.

upset
and so many thoughts
circling around
your head,
te try to make
this right,
to find the best way
so te could feel better,
so te could be free.
Pain will never
go away,
it always stays
to remember you
that life is not a dream,
life is unpredictable.
Endless questions,
so many "Why",
but the answer
we will
never find!
The strength within
will not let us crack,
life is unpredictable,
who's to say?
Today you're happy,
and yet
despair waits
stealthily
to engulf you.
But,
te need to be prepared.
Not only bad things
happen to bad people.
Unfortunately,
so many pure,
honored hearts
have been broken for
so many times,
in so many pieces,
and yet
they live,
they live with
their agony,
they live with
their groan,
but they live,
tho their eyes are
always sad,
their hearts are
still softly.
Therefore
they know...
Therefore
they are...
The brightest star
that shines
in the dark,
that spark of hope
for all of us
who deserve better.
When te look at the night sky, what do te see?
In my eyes,
I see the moon as a peaceful spirit,
watching over me.
When te stop and listen to the wind, what do te hear?
In my eyes,
The wind sings to me and tells tales.
When te feel the sun on your back, what do te think?
In my eyes,
The sun reaches out and gives me a warm smile.
When te hear a flowing stream, how does it sound?
In my eyes,
The stream is floating in my cuore and soul, drifting on and on.
When te look at me, what do te see?
In my eyes,
I see an average girl who is silently struggling inside.
But that's all in my eyes.
In my eyes,
I see the moon as a peaceful spirit,
watching over me.
