She looks;
Her eyes desperate & fraught
Her body defenseless & weak.
Feelings of vulnerability;
Guilt seeping through her veins.
But what can she do?
She stares.

She stares;
Oblivious to her stare, he hums
Chasing a butterfly, hops & skips;
Not a feather of a burden on his shoulders
As he goes about his carefree life.
She smiles.

She smiles;
Memories come rushing through,
As she first held him in her arms.
‘I will give te the world’ she promised.
She lied.
‘You will be the king of the world someday’
This time, he stared, his big blue eyes
Gleaming with innocent mischief, unaware of what fate has in store for him.
‘My angel’, she says softly.

‘Angel’, she calls out.
He stops and turns.
Excitedly, he searches her hands with his eyes.
Runs across the yard.
She streches out her arms ready to embrace him.
As he jumps on her with joy; her warmth caresses him.
‘Where is it?’ he asks sheepishly.
‘Where is what?’ she repeats with a smirk
He unfolds her hands; it’s empty. Disappointed.
‘Keep looking’, she says.
Excitement fills his eyes yet again. A finite excitement.
‘Found it!’
As he gets ready to put it in his mouth, he asks, innocently, reluctantly,
‘Mummy, do te want some?’
She smiles.

She breaks the piece of pane into pieces and feeds him, one da one; all.
He munches down the bread.
‘Is that all?’, he asks unaware of the impact of his seemingly harmless question.
Her cuore aches.
‘Are te still hungry angel?’
‘Na, I’m full’. He lied.
‘But tomorrow, we’ll have più right mummy?’
‘Of course angel’.
She lied, again.
As he places his head on her lap, she gently strokes his hair,
Hums him a lullaby...
He sleeps.

She can’t sleep.
She fears for tomorrow.
Her body aches from the digging;
Her arms bruised from the heavy loads;
The soles of her foot cut da the sharp rocks;
Her lungs filled with black smoke; she breathes heavily.
The sounds of the explosions still blasting her ears.
A miner’s agony.

Her cuore aching as she collects her day’s worth
Only enough to buy her Angel a piece of bread.
A mother’s affliction.

As darkness creeps in,
The streetlights form shadows,
Footsteps echoe at a distance,
She prays for her angel.
She looks at him smiling in his dream as he sees an angel;
She silently smiles.
She hears his stomach growling;
She silently sobs.

That same giorno - Eric's perspective

Oh Jeez...Why did she have to point me out to her friends? I wasn't interesting. They know that I had been watching her for months.
To stop meeting her gaze and being embarrassed I hid myself in a book hoping that I would stop being embarrassed.
"Hey Eric te must be really into that book," My friend Tom detto to me as he sat down across from me.
Maybe not. I put the book down a bit "Oh yeah it's great. ciao do te have girls staring at you?" I asked him
His face lit up and he smirked "Oh yeah it's great. I get asked out all the time," he said
I frowned "Nobody...

Okay so recently I thought why don't I tell what i think about some things so let's get this party started.

A few weeks fa my class had to pick a quote/lyric that meant something. So i googled it and found some nice Citazioni from my good buddy Albert Einstein. We all know him. Anyway this is what i found:
"Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love."
And as soon as i read that I just went awwwww. I mean is that not one of the best Amore Citazioni ever.
Really spoke to me i just loved it! And ever since then haven't forgot. What do te think of this quote.

So successivo to the whole mostra and...

Chapter 1
The District

I quietly and quickly pick the katniss plant's roots. Have to hurry home, o at least the ruined building I call my home. Living a destroyed old district, te kind of get used to the idea of having to hurry back to ruined buildings, before the rats and bugs decide to settle into your so called home.I start on my way back, when I see a plump rabbit, just watching me desperately pick the roots, while coated in mud. This annoys me, and with one veloce, swift movement, I coltello the fat fool from afar. A direct hit. Perfect. I've been working on my coltello throwing skills, and got a lucky...

Pain. Fear. Hatred. These things is what my life was full of. Love. Laughter. Happiness. I have none of these things. I used to though. I had a great Mom and Dad. We lived in a small house on the sandy shores of a spiaggia in California. I had a small furry Labrador that would beg for any Cibo he could get his soft paws on. Usually it was only broccoli.

That life doesn't seem amazing. Well....it still was. The nights my family and I had da the crackling fuoco after a dip in the ocean water were my favorite. My mother would sit on the green chair in the corner and braid my long red hair that everyone...

This is our the land where we live
What we have we won’t give
Up to any without a fight
Our ancestors gave us this birth right
We just want to live in peace
But still the battles will not cease
Until we’re driven from our home
Then we would be left to roam
And settle in some other place
o wiped out with no trace
Our names they wouldn’t know
So we prepare to meet our foe
The tribal headdress worn with pride
And paint upon our skin to hide
Who they face upon the field
Armed with arrows, spear & shield
Seen as men within a crowd
Surging forth we holler aloud
No fear from us will be shown
As they meet the unknown
Warriors not afraid to die
Fighting for our cause we try
To save our land & family
So our tribe can be free
To live as we choose to do
So let battle now ensue

Chapter 2
An odd man stepped out of the car and instantly I knew who it was. It was the man that came into the negozio during my shift. He stalked me all the way down here and now he was standing in front of me. I wanted to scream because of the scary feeling I got from look in his eyes but I found no voice. I was stupid to go to the outer edges of the park where almost nobody was. And the secondo I could find a breath his hand was over my mouth and I was thrown into the back of a car that was cold and wet. I could barely hear the voices in the front of the car and I wanted to know where I was going....

someone mentioned your name today. It wafted over to me like the smell of spicy perfume - pleasant at first, but one that stings in the long run. My subconscious picked it up, without me noticing and, I must admit, it took me a few tenths of a secondo to dig up your file in my brain. I seemed to forget who te were for that short amount of time. For that brief, innocent period, I was unaware. The name could have been from years and years ago, it could have been a name I had dato to a cucciolo many years back, the name of a plush toy, the name carved in a bus stop bench. A name that I had known,...

I lived in my cold dark world for my entire life.
Feeble, absentminded, indifferent, and apathetic are what I am
After shunning the outside world for all its transgression towards me.
I survived through "drifting through life": doing what I am told, agreeing to whatever argument I find myself in, keeping whatever opinion I hold to myself
so that the situation I'm in will be over
and I can get back to my shell, my refuge
My world.
My world, my sanctuary,
my sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza haven until an intruder tried to break in
My mother telling me to let her and my "loved ones" in.
What do I do?
What do I do?
The panic sets in;...

"Mr. Smith! Your tè is ready!" Parker's smiling face appeared out the sliding glass door, as she called to Mr. Smith. te could see the sea breeze that had collected on her face from being outside, all glassy and hot.Her long arms wiped it away and she turned around, her long braid whipping in the wind.

Prologue

I didn’t know what else I could do. I did everything they wanted me to do, but it wasn’t enough. It was never enough. So they kicked me out. I only had time to pack my bag and leave. I had no place to go, no person to turn to. I was alone. That first night I spent sleeping outside on a bench. I felt the cold spread true my body like a thousand knifes. When the sun began the rise, I got up and went on my way out of this horrible place. I was 17-years-old and I had been in six different foster homes. I didn’t want to be put in another foster home again, so I decided to leave for...

"Kodi? Why do te always assume he's home when we are? He's been down in the negozio till seven for years. te know that" my little brother Jo reminds me in his know-it- all way. Typical freshman. And slightly like Rachel.
"Well for awhile he made sure he was here when we got home. Just an old habit of mine I guess." Jo responds something incoherent.
"Well, I'm going to the shop, if te want to come," I offer, knowing he'll stay here.

But stargazing wasn’t why she wandered down a dark alley to find a young girl getting abused da a man just like her father. The girl’s aura was a startling bright red as she struggled to get away from him, whereas the air around him was a dull, greedy brown as he enjoyed her fear.
