Shipping is something every fan boy, girl, cat, dog, etc do. Whether we admit o not, we all have that power couple we root for. It's a fun topic to talk about, shoot te can even create bonds over certain couples. At the same time te can create a continental divide with others.
It's fine, ship whatever te want! No one can stop te other than yourself. Like me, for an example, I ship Tim drake and Conner Kent. I do get a lot of crude because people believe "they will never become canon" o "you just want hot gay sex between them." At first it did bother me, someone was putting me down because of something I like. I'm Human, I do (shockingly) have feelings but after giving enough thought into it, they ain't me so why should I change MY ship because of THEM? Sail your ship! Your the captain and te can kick off anybody off yer ship.
However, it's one thing to give your opinion and it's another to be out right rude. Don't ship the couple, fine. Leave at that but if te gotta leave your opinion (for whatever damn reason) try to be respectful about it. Another thing, try not to shove your ship down someone throat. Every body have different opinions. I mean it's cool and everything to elaborate and talk about your ship, but it ain't right forcing someone to ship what te ship.
Now that I think about it, I have yet to touch topics about OC shippings. Which is the main point of this "rant" if te can even call it that. Anyways, as te would know I, like many others, have my OCs be in a relationship. Most notable one being: Charm and Amara. Charm belonging to me whereas Amara respectfully belongs to NekoTheif.
When it came to Charm and Amara, Neko and I had both came together and agreed to make them into a couple. That's what most OC coupling, regrading a couple with different owners, came about. Two parties agreeing to unite their OCs in this companionship. Although it's a personification of the owners bond, it's basically like raising a baby. te need both parties, parents in a sense, to agree what to do. There are times where one party take total reins of the operation. Using me as an example, I didn't consult with Neko about creating Bonnie. Luckily she was cool with it, however, it could've brewed some crazy potion. COULD'VE.
The sense of the matter is that it takes two to tango, when creating a couple with another party it's fun at the same time draining.
One più thing before I avvolgere this up, if the other party says," No, I do not want my OC to be a couple with your OC." te gotta respect their decision. As much as te hate it, there isn't too much te can do other than just pushing and pushing. Creating più unnecessary issues. What's the point? You're just wasting energy.
SHIPPING ISN'T EVERYTHING.
I don't expect people to agree with me nor disagree. I am just stating my opinion because I have the freedom to do so. I am not calling anybody out and even if I was, your username would be in this articolo but if te still honestly believe I am. I call it a guilty conscious because te are getting defensive when it wasn't even for you. It was me to state MY opinion.
