"Keep the link open," their leader ordered before running out of the alley.
Yes, sir, Ruse promised. He turned and sprinted out the alley in the other direction. da the time he reached the back of Wayne Tower, Saber Tooth, fuoco Mutt, and Jaguar were already waiting.
"Done!" Jaguar exclaimed as the service door clicked open.
"Shhh!" the others hissed.
He ducke his head apologetically and moved from the mangled lock pad and held the door opened.
Lady's first, he said, motioning inward like a doorman. Saber rolled her eyes and entered the building. The others followed closly behind with Ruse pulling the door shut behind him.
Their surroundings were pitch black- the back halls that they had entered through weren't lit after hours.
I can't see anything! Jaguar informed.
Thank you, Captain Obvious, Saber snapped. She reached into her back pocket and pulling out a flashlight.

The beam of light hit the wall, exposing a patch of outdated wallpaper. It only lasted a secondo before it flickered and disappeared. Saber Tooth cursed and shook the dead flashlight. Beside her a flame came alive. She gasped in surprise and dropped the light.
Mutt snickered, earning him a glare. The ball of fuoco in his hand illuminated the corridor a few feet ahead of them before fading back into darkness.
Stairwell, Ruse detto almost immediately. Mutt, Saber, and Jaguar followed his finger to a door directly to their left. Beside it was a plaque with the symbol of a stick figure running up a jagged line.
Y'all know your positions? Saber Tooth asked.
The boys nodded in confirmation and followed her through the door. The stairs were dimly lit, enough so that Mutt could extinguish the flame as the climbed up. Saber exited first, taking a door onto the 4th story- the floor where that had spotted the first security guard. Mutt soon followed her lead on the 11th. When they reached the 16th, Jaguar saluted to Ruse and left, leaving him to climb to the superiore, in alto floor on his own.
The telepath hesitated half a secondo before pushing into the dark hallway.
1st guard down, Saber Tooth announced.
Props for speed, Bandit praised.
It was at that moment Ruse spotted his target.
The guard was waving his flashlight's beam back and forth across the floor, scanning for intruders. He stopped at an office about half way down. Using his security issued keys, he easily unlocked the door and slipped inside. Ruse stood a moment in the shadows, admiring the ingenious of the plan, before following after him.
Second guard down, Mutt reported almost the exact same time Jaguar said, Third target down..
The robber in Bruce Wayne's office looked up as a red headed boy clad in black entered quietly into the room. He subtly removed the hard drive from the computer. He gave the boy a puzzled look and opened his mouth to speak. He didn't get the chance before the boy lunged at him with lightning speed.
Ruse punched once in the gut and karate chopped his neck and the burglar fell unconscious.
Fourth target down, he said. He reached down and picked up a pack of gum from where the "security guard" had dropped it. He studied it and turned it over in his fingers.
The pack was hard and unopened. Ruse shrugged and pulled it open only to be greeted da the head of a drive.
"Clever," he whispered.
"We are, aren't we?"
The telepath spun around to face another burglar.
"I think one of your buddies dropped this." He held up Saber Tooth's dead flash light.
Ruse's eyes widened and he reached for the taizer in his belt. Before he got the chance to use it, the office door swung open and a blur tackled the guard. He was out cold as soon as he hit the floor.
Jaguar stood and brushed off his jeans.
"Thanks," Ruse said.
"Anytime," Jaguar said, handing him the flashlight.
Fifth target down, the speedster said.
