Babylon stood in an alley, another one, as she liked them best, breathing heavily from the incident with the Demon. Adrian had killed him quickly and easily. But he was a watcher, she was not.
She was scared, for the first time in her life, Babylon was scared to die. Ethan detto she could possibly meet an end this way, become one of them. Never in her life, did she want to both live and die, than at this moment then.
She made sure the cape was pulled tightly around her, and walked on. She was going to hide in a church. An old one, one she knew had been left alone many years fa from a fire. But she hoped she could still be protected there. But she felt her eyes heavy from lack of sleep. "I need to sleep if want to fight them off. if i die around them, I have an even greater chance of becoming one of them. She looked around and found a small motel. She would stay here for the night. She pulled out some money from her bra and walked in to pay for a room. She walked up the stairs to her small little room. For now, it would do, until she got some of her strength back.

"Bastian. Are certain te can handle this?"

"Of course I can, don't be dull. I can do anything. Beside, she cannot refuse me."

"You know she will not return the infatuation te have for her."

"Shut up! te know nothing."

"Just be careful. She could kill te now. She took weapons from the watcher."

"She took the wrong ones."

Babylon woke well rested, thank goodness. She felt stronger. She could feel it in her bones. She smiled and pulled back the covers and climbed out and walked into the bath to take a shower.
The water was warm, steam filled the small bathroom and she could almost, just almost, feel some of her worries drifting away. But then again. It was only almost. She still thought about it. becoming a Demon. How could she? She has tried for hundreds of years to be good, and then she'd end up being what she fought against all this time.
Would she be doomed to the name she was given. Babylon. City of Harlots and Lies, like Adrian said?
Would she be able to know she had to leave her only friend, and know that she was again alone in her heart?
Babylon wasn't sure if she cried at the thought o if it was water flowing down her face to her chest.
Babylon sighed and stopped the water, and wrung her hair out, water dripping like a faucet. She pushed her brown-black hair back from her face and looked to wipe her mirror, covered in steam from her hot shower. She almost screamed. on it was writing, in old english letters. it read Hello Amore - B
Her eyes changed from brown to red and she knew she had to get out of here. Some one found her. And it wasn't a watcher. None of them had a name that began with that letter.
She raced out of the bathroom, and pulled on her clothes and ran down the stairs.
Babylon ran out in the streets, teeming with people and rushed passed them ignoring the shouts and angry looks of people she ran past. her hair still wet and getting people sprinkled with it, for it was pulled up and water was caught in it.

"Scaring her Bastain? Really?"

"Oh whats wrong with a little fun before it all?"

""Don't have to much fun."

"I know what i'm doing, calm yourself."

"I know te know what te are doing. And te have confidence. That's what worries me."

"What is there to be worried about? She can't refuse me."

"Unless..."

"Unless what?"

"Unless nothing. Stop playing games and bring her to me."

Babylon kept running, until she saw him. Standing in the crowd. She froze and she stared at him. She didn't know how long she actually stood there, and stared into his red red eyes. Eyes that looked too much like hers. She felt him staring into her soul. But no matter how much she wanted to look away, run away. She continued to stare.
Then he smiled at her, and blew a baciare at her. She flinched as if she could feel it, and it stung. She blinked, and then he was gone.
Babylon felt her breathing quicken, as she stood in place. She was not safe. She would have to run, run and hide in the light, o fall. Fall into the shadows the color of his raven black hair.
