Well for one thing they are complete oppposites. Water and Fire. In the southern raiders i believe Zuko saved Katara from rocks and in Into thwe inferno Zuko jumped in front of Katara and saved her from being shot da Azulas lightning, They are so cute together and make a great couple.

i dont really know, but i ever read some fonte that the creator originally pair Zuko and Katara as each Amore interest.
so when they change due to unknown circumstances, the "original destiny" is still remain a little. that's why Zutara is più popolare than the canon it self, Kataang.
btw, dont mean to insult .. but i dont like the pic up there... it doesnt looks like Katara
cuz they are CLEARLY meant 4 each other!! they're opposites, they're adorable,they were originally paired together, AND think of how much better the plot would have been!!
It's più interesting. It's unpredictable, but if te think outside the box, te see it. They leave hints, but in Kataang's case... Aang just goes up and pecks Katara. te don't see passion, especially from Katara. It's just a little boy crush basically. Zutara is più compassionate
