It all depends on what te want to read.
A must read is "The Stand" which is about a virus that wipes out the 99,9% of the human race and how the remaining survivors have to pick sides between the Dark and Good side of sth I can't tell te without spoiling you.
There's always "Salem's Lot", a story about Vampiri#From Dracula to Buffy... and all creatures of the night in between. in a small town, very scary and nothing like Twilight o "Needful Things" which is all about the vanity of people's lust for material goods and how a store can make your wishes come true.
If te want sth più emotional, there's the brilliant "Green Mile".
