The successivo giorno was Wednesday. That giorno I didn’t go to school until 10:30. Humphrey saw the time and woke me up.

“Because the busses drop their elementary kids off at about that time.”
We got ready and headed down for the bus stop. I forgot Janet didn’t know about Humphrey yet. I boarded the bus and got in the sede, sedile behind the bus drive, but Janet stopped Humphrey.

“You need to have a pass.”
I pulled out a note from the counseling office, “Oh ok, sorry, but that thing has to go on your lap.”

“Humphrey, calm down, let’s go.”
Humphrey and I sat down at a tavolo until it was time to go to class. The campana, bell rang and we went to our first few classes. When lunch came, I came in and sat successivo to my friend Mark along with Humphrey.

The rest of the giorno passed. During 8th period I remembered that I had an after school program.
“Crap, Humphrey, I have an after school program, so we’re going to be staying for an extra hour.”

After 8th period, in fact, our after school class is successivo door, I have to mostra the teacher the permission form. I came in first and had Humphrey wait outside.
“Hello,” She said.
“Hi, I have a lupo out there, he’s been with me the whole day. I have the form for te to see from the counseling office.”

I swear, Mrs. Perondini always seems to laugh, even out of nowhere. It was funny but creepy at the same time. There were a few più kids that came in. In fact Mark soon came in himself.
“He’s here too?”
“Well, he has to be da my side the whole day. Especially with the bus.”
The program soon ended. After that we waited for the activity bus to come. Clarence, the driver of 27 came. He drives the activity bus every Wednesday.
“That lupo can’t get on, he needs a bus pass.”

Mark usually sits behind me, but he was debating on it because of Humphrey. Something told me he didn’t like Humphrey.

Mark got off and Humphrey talked again. I was surprised he was able to keep from talking that whole time.
“Dude, how did te do that?”
“Do what?”
“Keep from talking that whole time.”
“I don’t talk that much.”
Humphrey laid on my lap as rubbed his stomach. We eventually got off the bus and got home. That night, we celebrated about the secondo good giorno of school. We celebrated hard.
“Can te go first again?”
“Can’t we switch it up?”
“Alright, we can.”
