After seeing the destruction he saw,E13 moved out of the valley he once lived in to a northern mountain range.After hours of running,fatigue and tiredness kicked in.He found a rock with another rock on superiore, in alto of it blocking the rain.He rested but never fell asleep,he just lied there with his thoughts.The silence was broken with a loud lighting strike and a whimper in the distance.He thought to himself "what was that",then he detto "OK,i am going to check".As he strode in to the dark he has secondo thoughts,but its to late a figure jumped at him and tackled him to the ground.The figure had his paw in E13's face and yelled "who are you,you don't feel familiar."cause i am not",E13 growled back.Then E13 swatted his paw off of him,scratched him,and pushed him against a rock.This managed to knock him out,and E13 exhausted passed out.Both bodies lied there in the pouring rain.
The successivo morning Kate set out of the tana, den to hunt for some caribou and asked humphrey to come along he agreed hapilly because he loves to be around Kate wherever she goes.
They were about an ora into the hunt when a hunter came out of the bushes and Kate hears him she jolts inoltrare, avanti right when the hunter fires his fucile the bullet just missed kates leg, and immediately after the shot humphrey jumps up and pushes the gun out of the hunters hand and the hunter (amazed da the situation) takes one look at humphrey and runs back into the bushes.
After this happened they decided to quit the hunt and go back to the tana, den because Kate and humphrey were both in shock From this moment and from that point on Kate always hunts with Humphrey.

Kate ran and hid in a hollow log. ever since Winston Tony and eve died there had been war. Kate plugged her ears shut as a gun shot went off. Kate peered out from her log. mary had been shot. Kate smiled. she hated Mary always trying to mate with Humphrey. Kate snuck out of her log and snuck home. Luis Jessie and the twins masey and felicity all ran towards Kate. " mommy your alive!" cheered the puppys. "where's Humphrey?" asked Kate. " in your room." Kate couldent wait to feel humphreys soft pelliccia and his moist nose. Kate walked into humphrey and hers room. "oh my gosh Kate." detto Humphrey. Kate and Humphrey rubbed noses for a while. " are te ok?" asked Humphrey. " no, no I'm fine!" Humphrey looked down at kate's paws. " your not ok your paw is dislocated." gasped Humphrey.
