successivo Theory: What happened that night after Humphrey rescued Kate from the flash flood?

After getting separated from their ride home, Kate abandons Humphrey in a fit of anger and winds up in trouble when she tries to attraversare, croce a river which had risen during a flood, so Humphrey saves her and they go find a place to sleep, but is that all that there is to be detto about it?
