Humphrey darted into the little hole he used my body to create, and went for my throat.
I grabbed his muzzle with my paws, keeping him away with little effort.
I put my head close to his, "Just listen to the chanting out there Humphrey, they believe that te have beaten the best Alpha to ever fight. They believe you, an Omega, has won, but Ive let te have your fun, now its my turn."
His eyes widened and I laughed.
I put my remaining paws against his stomach and kicked out, hard.
He shot out of the hole like a rocket, sailing over the small lake out into the middle.
He landed to a huge explosion of water.
I climbed out of the hole, perfectly fine except for a little twinge in my shoulder.
As the crowd spotted me and realized what happened, many of them gasped o let out cries of dismay. I looked at Kate, but she did not look in the least surprised.
I shook my head and sighed as I walked toward the beach. Humphrey had climbed out dripping went with a slight limp on the side he hit the water with.
"Humphrey," I detto as if talking to a small child, "If youd like te could just back down and give me the dominant position, oh wait, that would also mean that youd have to baciare the ground I walk on."
I let the smile slip from my face, "did te really think that te could beat me, that all the stories youve probably heard were all lies o exagerations? I am the best, te should have just stepped down."
"I cant do that," he coughed.
"And whys that?"
"Because I have to prove to Kate that im worth it."
Well I guess that explains his hostile behavior to me, he thought that I was going to try and steal Kate from him. Little did he know that Kate would never break a commitment once she made it.
I shook my head, "You are such an idiot."
He came at me again, this time his swings were short and più control. I avoided his swing with just as much ease as I had before.
I began to sposta faster and faster, eventually I moved fast enought that I began a graceful blurr.
A technique that I had perfected early on in Alpha School. It was one of the things that had made me one of the best, if not the best.
He swung at me and I moved away, as he swung he left a small spot just between the shoulder and the ribs exposed and I jabbed it hard.
He went down immediately with a cry of pain. I grabbed the scruff of his neck and spun, whipping him toward the rock face that he had slammed me into.
This was the end of the fight. In thirty secondi he was down for the count.
Before his body hit the rocks, a golden blur streaked down and forced Humphrey down to the ground none too gently, but not as bad as it would have been.
"Alec that is enough," Kate shouted, landing heavily on her feet.
"You are interupting a fight for dominance."
"He was finished before te threw him and te knew it. He is an omega he cant take as much damage as we can."
I smiled at her, "He thinks that im trying to steal te away, Kate. He blindly accepted the challenge when he should have stepped down, becausse he wanted to prove himself to you."
She looked from me to the unconsious Humphrey, with a stunned look.
I sighed, "Since he is unable to fight, I am victor. This means I am equal in rank to te and Garth, Kate."
"I know that," she growled.
"Hey dont get bitchy with me because your mate was insecure," I growled.
"I am bitchy with te because te almost threw him to his death."
"He wouldnt have died."
"You dont know that. What if he did?"
"Kate dont be paraniod, he is fine now and would have been fine anyway."
I spotted Lilly, Garth, and Kelly running our way from the superiore, in alto of the cliff.
Garth reached us first laughing, "Man Alec, I though he had te there for a second."
We did that forearm-grasp-manhug that guys do when they think there too cool to actually hug.
We released laughing
"Well to be honest when I gave him that hole in my defense I didnt think that he would slam me into the cliff. That was pretty clever there."
Lilly ran up too Kate who sat da the now waking Humphrey. They immediatly began a heated conversation, glancing at me ften.
Kelly slamed into my chest nocking me down on my back and leaving me gasping.
Kate gave a shout of surprise and started to come over but was stoped da Lilly.
"You had me so worried, Alec," Kelly said, "I thought te had gotten hurt."
She touched her nose with mine.
"I couldnt stand not knowing if te were ok o not," she whispered so only I could hear her.
Then she kissed me, pouring all the Amore she had for me into it.
The moment was made just a little più akward da the fact that Kate was gaping at us unbelieving.
It also made me wonder, why was she this in Amore with me? I knew it was my broken cuore that was reaching out to her and thats why I was attracted to her, no attracted was to weak a word, Amore più like, but I had no idea why she Amore a poor soul like me.
She broke from the baciare first, breathing heavily, and smiled adoringly.
Id ask her later how she fell this in Amore with me.
"I will never worry te so again." I said.
Kate glared at me and stalked back to the still immobile but awake Humphrey
I got up and leaned towards Garth, "No matter what I do I cant win point with her today." I nodded in Kate direction.
"Well te did just beat up her mate in less than one blow, and te just kissed passionatly with another girl."
"Yeah but..."
"Dude te have a lot to learn about women, but ill tell te this. They are vindictive."
We both laughed.
"Alec," Kate called, "Humphrey cant sposta his entire side, what did te do."
"Oh right," I detto and trotted over to where Humphrey was laying.
"This is going to hurt," I detto and shoved my paw into the spot I had jabbed him. I closed my eyes feeling the flow of energy through his body.
Almost to myself I said, "Everything we do, everything we are is just energy. The universe is just a giant cycle of energy, always flowing, never stopping. However some have learned to redirect this flow. In a small scale such as a body, if it is done right, entire parts of the body can be cut of from this energy leaving these parts useless."
I tweaked my paw a bit and suddenly felt the energy flow back into his side and shoulder.
"Im combat it can be used to cripple an enemy and leave them weak. te can incapaitate them without actually hurting them."
"However it can also be used to kill."
"Oh hows that?"
"If te cut off the energy flowing to the heart, then the vessel of that cuore dies. Now get up Humphrey we have some talking to do."
I glanced back at Kate who was trying to hide her astonishment.
"Privately, I think."
