Story line before this kind of episode...Brennan is dating FBI agent called Andrew, he’s really into her and she is enjoying his attention, however its hard for her to admit it, her cuore belongs to another…Booth is dating girl name Megan, she’s obsessed with him and really jealous about Brennan around him, whilst Booth is dreaming about another…
“Bones, we’ve got a case!” detto Booth while entering Brennan’s office.
“Uhm…,” answered Brennan without any sign of interest, but just starring at her computer screen.
“Wow, that was the least excited answer about murder I’ve ever heard from you,” stated Booth.
“You’re the one who’s been telling me there’s nothing exciting about it, anyway I’ve got a lunch meeting with Andrew,” responded Brennan and finally looked at him.
“Yeah, Andrew…” started Booth, but muted.
“…but after that we can go to the crime scene,” added Brennan when she saw his sad face looking on the floor.
“No, we cannot do that.”
“Why?” surprisingly asked Brennan.
“Because our case is 5 hours da plane far from here,” explained Booth.
“Right te won, I’m going to cancella that lunch and we can go.”
“Ah…there’s another problem te should know,” continued Booth as she rise up from chair and made her way to take a coat.
“What?”
“Megan, she wants to go with us,” responded Booth afraid of Brennan’s reaction.
“No,… don’t look at me like that te know what I think about her jealousy, this is insane!” exploded Brennan.
“Bones please, Parker really likes her, he’s gonna be mad at me if I’ll loose her,” pleaded Booth.
Brennan made a face like she didn’t get what he just detto and if she did she found it really absurd.
“I’m taking Andrew, he’s at least going to be helpful not a burden,” detto Brennan while keeping a stiff her upper lip and eyes pulled out.
“What? Wait, no te can’t…Bones what are te doing?”
“Hey Andy, listen I can’t make it to the lunch, but te should go home and pack some stuff, because we are going to make a trip, yeah, bye” detto Brennan very satisfied looking at Booth’s face.
The flight was very quiet from Brennan’s and Booth’s side. They were obviously mad at each other, so Andrew was trying to save the situation.
“So,” he started, “do te think they rent scooters there?”
“Oh yes! I’d Amore to take a ride on that with a beautiful ocean’s sun set behind,” detto excited Megan.
“Meg, I told te we are going there to solve a crime, this is not a holiday,” argued Booth.
“Tempe, what do te think?” asked Andrew.
“What?” asked surprised Brennan who wasn’t listening at all, “no, I have to work.”
“I’ve heard they got a beautiful beaches out there,” continued Megan with very exciting tone.
Brennan and Booth exchanged looks with raised eyebrows and crinkled nose to express their thoughts for this idea.
After all they finally arrived to their hotel on the beach, which Angela initially reserved for Brennan and Booth, but now situation had changed and they took one big apartment with two separate bedrooms and one living room to share.
“Wow, it’s beautiful look at that Seeley,” indicated Megan and run on the balcony out of the living room.
“Yeah,” ironically sighed Booth and dropped their luggage on the floor.
Brennan went directly to her and Andrew letto room where she let her suitcase and came back to see Booth.
“We should go to the crime scene,” detto Brennan while making a pony tail and moving towards Booth.
“Never been happier to hear that Bones.”
And they left their partners in Amore in a hotel room, so the partners in crime can do their job.
In the car Brennan sat very impatient.
“Booth, are te dating Megan just because of Parker?” she finally spoke.
“Of course I’m not.”
“It seems like that,” detto Brennan and turned her head out of the window in the car.
“Maybe it’s one of the reasons…” admitted Booth after all, “why are te asking?”
“Just… te don’t seem to me satisfied in that relationship.”
“Look Parker needs mom, everything was fine tills Rebecca’s accident, his mom is in coma, unable to take care of him, so what should I do?”
“I could help te with him, te know we’ve got pretty good interpersonal interaction together, I can be his step mom,” detto Brennan very decidedly.
“What? No, Bones don’t take me wrong, but… wait te would really take my son as yours?” Booth was speechless.
“He’s your son Booth, of course I would,” answered Brennan with the big stress on word your and tone of surprise that Booth could thought otherwise.
“Right, here is the corpse,” broke the conversation point Booth as he finally stopped driving.
After three hours in the field they got back in the hotel, where they met up for a cena with their partners. None of them spotted the man who’s been following them all day.
When they finished cena they went for a bottle of wine near the pool as Andrew suggested. After few glasses Brennan stood up and started walking slowly around the pool, when the man showed up with a coltello and stabbed her into a stomach and gave her a note. Booth and Andrew ran very fast to her. Andrew took the note and read it, while Booth kneeled to Brennan grabbed her and started to run with her to the hotel to look for the medical care.
“Bones, c’mon, it’s gonna be alright, “whispered Booth when he kneeled successivo to her after he dropped her on the sofa. Brennan was unconscious.
