Tale as Old as Time

Hi guys, I managed to see the 2017 reboot of Beauty and the Beast despite the initial boycott over the alleged gay moment for the Malaysian release, as I promise here is my review on the awesome classic!

The Story-Line

While the majority of the film is the same, I was very happy with a number of changes. Like we get to know più about Belle's and the Beast/ Prince Adam's backstory. To which I will write più about in another articolo soon. Speaking of the Enchantress, I always thought that it is the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella!
The Prologue gives più details than the 1991 version, which we never understood since then. But, thank goodness for that!
I was also happy that Lefou became so disillusion with Gaston as the story progresses, ultimately swapping sides.

The Songs & Musical Scores

Many of the songs that we hear in the film, are very familiar from both the 1991 film and the Broadway version. Especially during the scene where Belle gets to see her room in the castello for the first time, they play an instrumental version of home from the Broadway version of the animated feature!
3 new songs are feature in this film, and I immediately fell in Amore with them. Like Lily James, I was really amazed that her Downton Abbey costar Dan Stevens could really sing, including Emma Watson despite that there were allegations on auto-tunes. If it was, Emma would not have taken exclusive Canto lessons with Paige O Hara, the actress who provided the voice for Emma's animated counterpart.
If te ask me, I absolutely adore Celine Dion and I was happy that she was asked to come back to sing a brand new song. In fact, everybody in the cinema hall including myself sang the famous titolo song!

The Characters

I was very happy that the beast has più character development, he also had a very similar experience with Belle because both never saw their mother ever again during their childhood. He also helps Belle to know più about the reason why Maurice did not want to tell Belle about what happen to her, sadly she passed on during the plague!
Prince Adam's father was very bad man, according to Mrs Potts. At that point, I feel bad for him, but one thing I was very happy that he has più interaction with Belle in this version.

10. Beast (human form only)

It's hard to rank an animal so I'll only base my ranking on his human form. I seriously think he should remain beast, I hate his human form, his hair is too similar to Belle's and his smile is a bit weird to me, but his eyes are beautiful. His hair is actually even più awful when it's in a ponytail, the loose hair is acceptable, but in a ponytail it looks so awful to be honest!

Now, Tiana's up. This was pretty easy. An honourable mention for Zoe Saldana, though quite honestly I don't see the resemblence. She would make a much better Kida.

5.Naturi Naughton
Some of te may know her from 3LW, she's the one who didn't unisciti the Cheetah Girls. Now she's a successful broadway actress and played Lil Kim in Notorious. So clearly she can sing and act very well.

4.Rihanna
Everyone says she should play Tiana, I don't really think Rihanna looks like her. She has Tiana's smile, that's about it. But I think she could do the part, she really isn't a bad actress.

I have been here for a few months, and I noticed that I did not post my opinion of the weakest to strongest DP Film. Since it would not be fair to put all of these films together (as they were made in different times), I will do it in eras. OK, first of all, I haven't seen the film. Unfortunately, due to my somewhat uncontrollable curiosity, I have seen spoilers of the ending and anything in between and as a result of this, I have discovered that Hans is in fact the villain of the movie and at the end, he is punched out da Anna, he is sent back home to be punished da his brothers, and on superiore, in alto of all that, Elsa proclaims that Weselton is no longer welcome in Arandelle.

I left all nostalgia behind so my lista changed a lot. I guess it's also because when I first joined Fanpop, I only knew the Princesses on the surface level and I based my opinions on that. I also had to re-watch all the movies, I hope it won't change again for a while. I've noticed that there are actually a lot of similarities between these three girls and wanted to make an articolo about why they're all so similar. They're all in my superiore, in alto 5, as I think they're very similar and I'm going to say why, so let's goo! I know I have not been doing as much articoli and countdowns as I used to, but things have gotten busy for me. I am trying to get back into my flow of constant participation, but it will take some time. Anywyas, da guessing what the titolo is, te know what I am going to talk about. This is da no way meant to insult fan o to completely throw a hate fest. It is just my opinion. 10 is the least overrated, and 1 is the most, and just because something is the least overrated, does not necessarily make it the most underrated.
