The zattera that Princess pisello and Conrad built seemed sturdy, secure, and safe. But as many people often need to learn on più than one occasion, looks can be very deceiving. As they sailed through the bayou and reached the open sea, Conrad and pisello got to talking.
"Conrad, there's something I have to tell you," pisello summoned all of her courage.
"What is it?" asked Conrad, his voice tender and sweet. pisello melted everytime she heard it. Although she would never tell him this.
"That bitchy princess your father works for..."
"What about her?"
"I'm her," Princess pisello looked down in shame.
"You're the princess that has made my father's life a living hell for the past sixteen years?" Conrad's eyes widened in shock. "You're the reason he couldn't come home for Natale two years ago? I can't believe it! I knew te were a handful pisello but I am really shocked! How could te do those things?"
"Conrad, listen to me," Peanalita pleaded. "I've changed, I'm not the same girl who used to treat Leopold like dirt, te have to believe me!"
"Why should I?" Conrad retorted bitterly. "You're nothing but a selfish, rude girl who cares only about herself."
"I probably shouldn't have told te this while we're on a zattera in the middle of the ocean," pisello sighed. "You could totally throw me off and no one would ever find me."
"I would never do that," Conrad answered, making pisello smile. "Unlike you, I actually have a heart." Pea's smile faded faster than they crank out those crappy direct-to-video sequels.
Pea was about to work up some sort of sassy remark when suddenly lightning struck. Rain began to pour and thunder viciously banged heavily through the sky. The zattera began to toss and turn violently. Just then, an enormous wave approached the zattera with great stamina and tossed the zattera upside down. pisello managed to hold on and climb back aboard, only to find Conrad had disappeared beneath the waves.
"No!" pisello cried. She quickly grabbed one of the vines used to build the zattera and unraveled it from the sail. She tied it around her waist, making sure the other end was securely tightened to the little raft. Without a moment to lose, pisello colomba in the water, a rather ambitious sposta for a girl who couldn't actually swim. She flailed underneath the sea and eventually saw Conrad sinking into the depths, unconscious. She grabbed onto his arm and began hoisting herself up the vine. She couldn't hold her breath much longer. She noticed the vine begin to thin but grabbed hold of the zattera in the nick of time. She shoved Conrad onto the zattera just as sky began to clear up and the waves began to settle. Conrad coughed and opened his eyes.
"Pea, you," he struggled to speak as he coughed up più water. "Y-You saved me."
"Well, yeah," pisello laughed. "You think I wanna be stuck on this zattera alone with no one to cagna at?"
"Pea, I'm sorry I judged you," Conrad smiled faintly. "I guess people really can change. I never would've guessed in a million years that..."
"That what?"
"The girl that my father complained about all these years would be the girl that I fall in lo-" His sentence was interrupted da the sound of distant drumming.
"What was that?"
"Oh sure," Conrad thought to himself, rolling his eyes. "I wasn't about to confess my Amore o anything."
"I heard drums," Princess pisello smiled. "We must be near land, look there's a baia up ahead, te can just see it through the fog!"
As the little zattera approached the bay, pisello noticed a huge cliff. And on superiore, in alto of that cliff stood a tall, beautiful Native American woman, whose long black hair was dancing in the wind.
