I couodn't believe it. He had to be my bodyguard!
We were now sitting in the cafe downstairs, me and Duncan. The cafe belonged to his mother. Officer Steele was Duncan's uncle, his mothers brother.
My father had gone home to take some calls. Being the manager of our family run lawyer service kept him busy most of the time.
He didn't want to go, he wanted to stay with me, but Duncan and Julie; Mrs Juarez, detto I'd be fine with Duncan, seeing as he was my bodyguard now.
"So, do te know why te have to be my bodyguard exactly?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I've gotta protect my Princess, haven't I?" he smirked.
"I'm not your Princess" I exasperated.
"Sure, whatever te say, Princess" he laughed.
I stood up and his eyes widened, "Sorry, I didn't mean to..." he trailed off looking at the entrance.
"What's wrong?" I asked, looking at his expression curiously.
He grabbed onto my hand and pulled me through a back door.
"They're here" he detto before pulling me into a room and locking the door.

(TDI, TDA and TDWT never happened)
I was toppled over da scrapbooks, ribbons, medaglie and a big canvas bag when I opened the closet door. What really caught my eye was the huge canvas sack that almost pulverized my leg. I wrenched myself out and pulled the bag over to my bed. I dug out my little sister's, Cookie's (her real name is Charlise), little plastic "Sheriff" badge and giggled. I placed it down and pulled out an unopened letter that I never have seen before. I opened and read it:
Dear Miss Courtney Langerak,
Thank te for help saving our ranch from MorcuCorp! We really appreciate your concern for all of the cavalli and the ranch. te are welcome to come here anytime!
From,
Vickie
Barry
Duncan
and the rest of Carousel Ranch!
I ran my fingers over the printed words, especially Duncan's. There was a picture in the envelope of me and Duncan. I now remember how we helped Carousel Ranch like it was yesterday...
