Only if they are very noticeable. If a word or two is spelled wrong, it's ok but if everything is horribly written then yeah it bugs.

I'm the kind of person who goes through menus looking for errors. They give me as much satisfaction as they do annoy me.

Depends. It kind of annoys me if it's in an article and people haven't treally bothered to check their spelling/grammar.
Having said that, no one here makes more typos than I (which is why I'm always editing my comments)so sometimes I just ignore it.

It depends. In a long question it doesn't bother me as sometimes people do it to fit the whole question in. Spelling errors don't annoy me either, if it's just a mistake, but I can't express how much I despise text speak.

I mean, if you see that someone has a decent grasp of the English language yet makes a mistake, it's okay (I mean, English is not my first language so I often make mistakes as well :) ).

When people spell the names of the characters and stuff wrong it bugs me to no end, as do people who right without capital lettres, or Only In Capital Letters, or just deliberately in chatspeak.

And so does the lack of pictures for the answers....

It bothers me more when I make them and can't fix them. It drives me crazy.

I'm with ineedcoffee and candrani, text speak is just flat out annoying. Honest spelling errors don't bother me unless it's obvious that they didn't even read over what they'd written before they hit publish (ie What kin dof dor kare you?;) That's what the preview is for. I try not to obsess about it, but I can feel the niggling seed of pet peeve trying to sprout in the back of my grinding teeth.

FavOrite is not a mispelling ...

The Americans don't use the U in that word. That is how that word is written whereas in Australia we spell it FavOUrite.
Other egs of words with/without the U:

honor vs honour
favor vs favour
flavor vs flavour
neighbor vs neighbour

Now if I see favErite then that's what really annoys me.

Sometimes I spell things the American way and other times the other way. And it really confuses me because I can usually tell how to spell something when I write it but I can never figure out those words and now I know why because both ways are correct.

Only really obvious mistakes.
Everyone makes small errors, but when there are loads I get a little irritated.
But I'm rubbish with grammar myself. As long as capital letters and full stops are there, I'm not bothered.

Umm it doesnt usually bother me that much..

If I can't read it then it would bother me otherwise as long as i understand it no matter the spelling i'm fine with it.

Not if it's just a simple typo like "What's the stipudest rumor you're ever heard?"

But if it's something simple that someone just doesn't know how to spell, like "What's the soopidest rumur you've ever herd?"... that bothers me a lot.

Everyone makes mistakes,and it depends on the type of typo it is,if it's just a a tiny spelling mistake,that doesn't bother really me,but if it was something like text writing,then it bothers me,I used to be a BIG Grammar freak,when a word/name was spelled wrong I would write in the correct spelling,but now I toned it down.
