“Take that seat,” he ordered which she obeyed. She watched him hanged his cane on the trolley and carry Liam slowly and carefully. She found it as a sweet moment, if only she have a camera with her, she would have a snap of it. The baby rubbed his head unto his father’s chest as if he already knew who was carrying him. House stared back and didn’t notice a smile was already creeping on his lips. He slowly limped towards Cuddy, letting his pain set on as long as they reached the sede, sedile safely. “Oh there te go,” he detto as he handed the baby to his mother.
House dragged a spare chair successivo to her and obviously sat on it. Contentment was in Cuddy’s eyes and as he slid his stare to the baby she have tightly in her arms, he couldn’t help but to be amaze that he was really the one who made the creature that almost took away the breathe of the woman he loves. He wanted to see this scene in front of him everyday of his life. He doesn’t want to miss even a single minuto of it but his wishes are enough for good night dreams knowing both of them seemingly agreed to take separate lives.
“So,” Cuddy looked at him, “have te already made a call to Casey?”
“I will but te see, te don’t have long distance telephones in the nursery so I’ll do it the moment I reach my office,” he replied which the dean returned with a nod and said, “she’ll be thrilled to know she have a baby brother now.”
“I’m sure she will.” Silence then followed. House’s eyes were averting on both Cuddy and Liam as she playfully bond with him as if he will now respond as lively as what a five anno old could do. Suddenly, the diagnostician lifted himself up and pulled the chair just beside her because he couldn’t bare the distance between them anymore. He leaned inoltrare, avanti and his face almost touched Cuddy’s shoulder that da the moment she turned to face him, the tip edge of their noses almost touched the other. Eyes were locked again before she looked down to deflect from the thing that might have ensued if they didn’t.
“You’re not really going to name Liam, Liam isn’t it?” House asked as he leaned back on his chair and watched Cuddy scoffed on his question. “Pretty sure the kid will like that,” she replied.
“How’d te know he won’t curse te for naming him such?” he mocked again trying to stall time to be with Cuddy and his son. “Well,” she replied sweetly, “you’re his father. I already told you, te have the right to change it o back it up with something te like.”
“Hmm,” he started his proposal, “if te want, I could come da everyday and every night in your house to discuss it with you.” Cuddy’s eyes shifted to look inoltrare, avanti before she turned back to face House, who was already smiling at her, with ‘what-the-hell’ look but a smirk was drawn on her lips knowing exactly what he meant.
Five years later, he’s now here, leaning against the Nurse’s station in the clinic with a smile on his face. He has been standing there for like twenty minuti with his eyes only fixed on a certain part of the place, Cuddy’s office door. Cuddy was about to say something but House went on, “but then I guess it’s too late when I realized I no longer need a big house like that. The better half of my life seemed to prefer to stay wherever she is right now, although I would Amore to know she’ll be happy to be with me in our mansion. We made Amore twice after our son’s born but she didn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that every time we slept together, I always give my all.”
He turned his head to see tears now flooding in Cuddy’s eyes. He smiled at her as she answered, “did te just bought a new book of riddles o are te asking me to sposta in with you?”
He smiled remained, with his dimples matching it up, as he said, “why can’t both be true?”
In spite of tears now running from her eyes, Cuddy managed to chuckle. She nervously watched House slid his hand under his cappotto and she almost fainted the moment he pulled his hand back out. He was holding a velvet box and offered it to her.
“Ohmygod, House,” she uttered still with streaming tears on her cheeks as she took it from his grip.
“No you’re my goddess. I know it sounds crazy but I see it’s just time to…”
House was about to finish his sentence when Cuddy finally pulled out the thing inside the box. Most women surely would get a ring but in this case, she found a key. He kept his mouth shut, but still with a smile too, as he observed Cuddy chuckled once more.
“I just figured maybe it’s just time to sposta in together,” he finally finished his line the moment she looked up to see him. He could see her joy in her eyes and as she hugged him tight, he knew it wasn’t just excitement but Amore as well.
