"Hey, James! Bring out another bottle of wine." Wilson's brother, Tim, yelled.
"Alright."
Ding dong.
"Can someone get the door."
Tim's wife, Olivia, went to open the door.
"Hello. Are te here for the party?"
"Yes. I'm Lisa Cuddy. I'm James' friend..."
"Oh, I've heard of you...And whose this little sweetheart?" Olivia detto as she started making baby faces at Rachel.
"This is my little girl, Rachel. James thought it would be nice to bring her."
"Well, come on in. There are tons of snacks, drinks, and a hell of alot of liquor."
Cuddy laughed nervously at her loud declaration.
A few minuti later, Wilson came back into the living room. He noticed Cuddy standing rather awkwardly between Tim and Olivia.
"Cuddy! Merry Christmas! I see you've met my brother and his wife."
"Yes..."
"We were just telling her all about that nudist colony we went to in Florida. It was so relaxing to just be without the confines of clothes. It's not natural to always be contained. We were born naked..."
"Tim, please leave the nudist colony stories for your weird Friends and not my party guests."
"Jim, te need to stop being so square all the time. I mean te are Friends with that crazy drug addict..."
"Tim, I just opened that wine why don't te and Liv go get some." Wilson detto with deliberate annoyance.
Tim rolled his eyes at his brother and motioned for Liv to go with him.
Cuddy gave Wilson a bemused smile.
"Family can be a drag." She detto with a grin.
"Especially mine. te know they weren't even supposed to be here tonight. They were all set to spend time in Colorado with Liv's family but then the flight was canceled and they decided to take a train from their home in Connecticut back here." Wilson picked up a bottle of birra and began to drink. He finished the drink in one gulp.
"Determined to get drunk, I see." Cuddy detto as she unfastened Rachel from her baby sede, sedile bringing her close to her chest.
"Not drunk just a little tipsy. It's the only way I can handle them atleast until some other people arrive."
"Who else is mostrare up?" She asked as she pulled a bottle of latte out and let Rachel drink.
"Some of Amber's friends, my Friends Dave and Andrea who I've known since Med school, and a few others...How are te handling that little one?"
"Well, she's been much più vocal these past three nights. I think she may be getting a little cold but other than that she's been sleeping very well. te know what she loves the most? She loves it when I massage her little feet after her bath. The first time I heard her giggle was while I did that."
"That's sweet. I so happy that you're happy. Motherhood seems to suit te well."
"I am grateful for that. At first I thought there was no way I'd be the maternal type..."
"Please, Cuddy. te were so loving and nurturing to me when Amber died. If it hadn't been for te I would never been able to tell her how much she meant to me o hear how much I meant to her..." Wilson's eyes were getting a little moist. Cuddy noticed his change in demeanor. She placed Rachel back in her sede, sedile and moved closer to Wilson. She reached out and placed her hand on superiore, in alto of his.
"You're doing really good. I know this holiday has to be a little hard considering everything that's happened. I am so proud of te for moving forward."
Wilson nodded his head in thanks and smiled at Cuddy's words.
Ding dong.
"Oh, excuse me, Cuddy. I better get that."
"Of course." Cuddy detto as she directed her attention back to Rachel.
"House?!"
"You do remember inviting me?"
"Yes. I just never thought you'd actually come."
"Well, I'm here now so let me..."
Wilson pushed House into the hallway and closed the door.
"House, Cuddy is here with the baby."
"I know. te told me this. If te remember te also told me that I should crash..."
"I know what I said. Wait. What's that?" Wilson asked as he motioned to a gift bag in House's hand.
"A present."
"For who?"
"The little poop machine."
"You mean that te actually took my advice?"
"Are te gonna let me in?"
"You did get Cuddy something right?"
"Yes."
"Alright, then she won't want to completely tear my head off for helping to orchestrate this event."
"Oh, she'll probably want to do that regardless."
Wilson took a deep breath and opened the door allowing House to walk through first.
"Alright."
Ding dong.
