Lisa was stunned with Hugh’s sudden question. Was he joking, she thought, o is this the domanda she’s been waiting for so long. She wanted to say yes but the thought of Giammario and Hugh’s marriage pulled her back again. Hugh on the other hand was standing there in front of her waiting for her answer. He didn’t thought of anything else but the proposal alone. Lisa managed to fake a smile.
Lisa: That’s ridiculous…
Hugh sighed and Lisa stood up from the letto with cuore beginning to beat faster. She walked in the bathroom and he followed her only to stop on the doorway. She glanced at the mirror as she leaned on the sink and she could see the Hugh looking at her still half naked with only his boxers on. She closed her eyes before looking down the sink.
Hugh: It isn’t a test domanda ----
Lisa: It’s a proposal? --- Hugh ----
Hugh: Yes, it is <Lisa looked at him as he held back his tears> I’m willing to leave my family for ---
Lisa turned to face him with teardrops in her eyes.
Lisa: Stop it… Please…
The phone rang and Lisa went out to get the phone and answer it. Hugh looked at her.
Lisa: Lisa ----- Hey, how are you? ----- What? No, I’ve just gotten a cold ---- I’m fine --- Yes --- Okay then.
She turned off the phone and sat down on the chair without looking at Hugh who was looking upset of what he did to her and both of them were steps apart from each other.
Hugh: <whispery voice> who’s that?
Lisa: Giammario… <wiped the tears in her eyes>
Hugh: Lisa… I mean what I said; I’m willing to leave my family for you… If te are certain that te can do the same with Giammario, then we’ll start our new lives ourselves…
Lisa: <sniffled> I can’t… ----
Hugh stood up and didn’t say anything. He put on his shirt, pants and giacca as Lisa looked out her house. He walked to Lisa and kissed her on her forehead before leaving the room and heading home without knowing the words Lisa was about to say.

He got home and was surprised to hear no noise around the house. He got down from his car with Lisa in his mind. He walked straight to their bedroom like what he usually do and found his wife packing some clothes in the bag. He stood near the door but Jo continued packing her clothes. There was silence between them.
Jo: I’m fed up… I can’t take it anymore… The longer we stay together, the longer I am in pain… The longer I feel I am just your maid not a wife… The children went first, their plane left forty minuti ago… We’re leaving you…
Hugh: <calm> Uh-huh. Seems obvious to me…
Jo stopped and looked at Hugh.
Jo: My god, te don’t care? <Hugh didn’t answer> I knew it! You’re sleeping around again! How could te ---- <she threw a magazine to Hugh which he got> Just get out of my life and enjoy your secret affair!
Hugh looked at the magazine and saw that his picture with Lisa was at the front cover of the magazine. They were seated under a albero during those spring afternoons and both of them were smiling. Another picture beside it was the two of them holding hands while walking to a Hollywood Park near Century Fox. The captions were boldly printed with red as the color. It says: “House and Cuddy Made Real?” He looked at his wife who continued packing her clothes.
Jo: I don’t think I need to ask te about it…
Hugh: No… <Jo looked at him again> te really don’t have to…
Hugh took off his wedding ring and placed it on the tavolo beside him. Jo was surprised with what her husband did.
Hugh: I gave us up long before te knew…
He opened the door and walked out while Jo was left sobbing again.

Lisa was sleeping at three in the morning when her bedroom door opened silently. A silhouette of a human being entered slowly and stood at the end of her bed. The mysterious human glide its fingers against the bottom board of the letto as it sposta closer to Lisa’s side. It stopped behind her and slowly climbed on bed. It laid on its side as it moved closer to her back and touched her shoulder. It could see the damp part on Lisa’s cuscino meaning she cried before going to sleep. It leaned closer to Lisa’s face this time, placed his lips few millimeters apart from her ear…
Mystery Person: Hi sweetie…
Lisa opened her eyes and was awaken da the call. She gasps and turned to see who called her. The person smiled at her da the time their eyes met.
Lisa: Giammario?
