I agree with that :) I would wear it if I went to a Mosque (when I go to a mosque) same for a synagogue or a sikh temple. It's really a respect thing :) ^^^^
I'm not even Muslim, but I think that as a sign of respect a non-Muslim should still wear hijab in a mosque, and dress modestly- it's just observing and acknowledging the beliefs of the people that have kindly let you into their holy place. I have been to a mosque, I wore a hijab, and I think it was a great experience.
it depends
if a woman went to the women section , she doesn't have to wear it inside
I'm a muslim and sometimes I re-put my hijab in the mosaque and even brush my hair when I'm traveling and I think it's fine
just one thing the non woman\man must not do is touching the holy quran
Hmm..Jeezz... People have a right to what they want..but in the case of tradition or religion, I really think it's necessary for the other person to observe all the rules out of repect wether they like it or not...
^You are ALL right of course, but did you already forget all about all those Muslim women who live in secular states such as Turkey which don't wear a veil (hijab) at all? They just throw the long hair around their neck instead of a veil (or a scarf)!! How can you expect the non-Muslim women to wear a veil (hijab) when visiting a mosque when there is plenty of Muslim women all over the world who don't wear a veil at all? Also, some of the mosques are tourist attractions, open to people from all religions. Tourists don't come to mosques to pray, you know. I think there is a big difference between tourists and true believers, don't you think? There is also a big difference between a Muslim women from Turkey or Bosnia or Albania who don't wear a veil and a Muslim women from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakhistan and some other Muslim countries. I thought the custom of wearing a veil was optional for Muslim women, therefore it is voluntary, not mandatory! Was I wrong?
