Welcome back, everypony. The last we saw our heroes, they were receiving recognition from the four princesses of Equestria. We then turned to deep within the Everfree Forest, where King Sombra lay dormant. Red Rose, who aided in the killing of King Cobra, brought the news to her fallen fiancee. Queen Chrysalis has allied with King Sombra, and we unisciti them making their way through the forest.

King Sombra: How many do te have in your army, Chrysalis?

Queen Chrysalis: (cackling) Thousands, not including the ones currently hidden within Canterlot and the Chrystal Empire.

King Sombra: Excellent! How soon can they be called to arms?

Queen Chrysalis: At a single word from me.

King Sombra: Good... Their army is in tatters, thanks to that pesky serpent. Now is the best time to advance on them, while they're still weak.

While they walked and talked, Red Rose stayed behind them. Her anger was growing within her, as her beloved spoke to that crazy Queen. I mean, Red Rose was the one who told King Sombra, so why is he ignoring her!? She even began to domanda why she left her friends, those she had started to care about, and was on her way to foca, guarnizione their fates.

Let's take a break from all of this evil, and turn to the Chrystal Empire. They had just finished celebrating, and the cleanup of the bodies was starting to commence. It was evening, and the land grew darker. Pegasi and unicorni alike were called to gather the fallen, all into one pile. When they had all finally been stored together, Princess Celestia detto a few words to the ponies that were still alive.

Princess Celestia: All of te have done very well against this form of evil. It forced us to fight against one another, and ultimately many were sacrificed. But, we eventually overcame this threat da the bravery of all of you. So, I thank te sincerely, that I am once più able to raise the sun in the mornings. Goodnight everypony.

With that, the multitudes dispersed to their own separate quarters. No pony was a stranger that night; those without a place to sleep were dato shelter, those who had shared with the had-not's. If anything, this war managed to bring everypony closer together. That was the most peaceful night in Equestria, and all slept well. But, that was also the last night that anypony slept well, for King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis had just arrived to the outskirts of the Chrystal Empire.

Queen Chrysalis: I'll shine the green light of my horn, just for a second. All over Equestria, my army will see the light and advance on my position, awaiting my successivo command.

King Sombra: Fine. As for me, I have a settle to score with a certain new princess.

As Queen Chrysalis blinked her light, King Sombra did his own thing. Black crystals sprouted everywhere, invading the streets and homes. Since everypony was asleep, no one was there to sound the alarm. This time, however, King Sombra added a special piece of magic to his crystals. Whoever were to touch them, would slowly give their energy to King Sombra. It would take a while for them to notice that their energy was being drained, other than the fact that they would be crankier.

After King Sombra had finished, he turned to Queen Chrysalis. She had stopped flashing her horn, and stood grinning.

King Sombra: Why do te just stand there!? Where is this army of yours? If te even have one!

Queen Chrysalis didn't react; she just smiled wider. Raising her hoof, she gently pushed King Sombra's muzzle to his left, and towards the stars. King Sombra saw nothing, just the multitudes of stars. As he looked however, the stars started to blink.
He stared in awe as hundreds of thousands of Changelings descended upon them, the beating of their wings filling the air. Even in the night, King Sombra could see the lust for evil in their eyes, and the anger in their hearts. As Queen Chrysalis stood tall with pride, fear entered King Sombra's heart. He had soon to realize, though, that pairing with Queen Chrysalis would be the worst mistake he had ever made.
