Hawkeye's Party
August 25, 1956
At 6:55 AM, most of the ponies were heading to work at the Cheyenne train station.
Hawkeye: *Walking while looking at station*
Stylo: It seems pretty quiet.
Jeff: Maybe because most ponies don't take the train during this time of the morning.
Passenger: Excuse me. I have to get to my train which is leaving in five minutes.
Hawkeye: What a coincedence, we start work here in five minutes.
Pete: *Opens door to office* Pierce, Stylo, come in here.
Hawkeye: We're on our way father. *Walks to office*
Stylo: *Following Hawkeye*
As the two stallions arrived in Pete's office, they saw Coffee Creme, Gordon, Orion, and Metal Gloss.
Hawkeye: *Sits down successivo to Gordon* This must be important if Gordon is here.
Gordon: What's that supposed to mean?!
Stylo: *Sits successivo to Hawkeye* Whatever te want it to mean.
Pete: I called te all here, because you're all engineers, and o fireponies. I have something I want to tell you. We have been replacing più steam engines in favor of diesel. As of now, all of our diesel engines have radios in them. te may talk to each other while te drive your trains, but don't let this affect your working performance.
Hawkeye: Sure.
Stylo: Wouldn't think of it.
Coffee Creme: I will be responsible with the radio.
Gordon: Me too.
Orion: There's a first.
Metal Gloss: I won't let te down sir.
Pete: Good, now get to work. Pierce, and Stylo, the both of te will take a freight train into Denver. Coffee Creme, you'll be driving an oil powered steam engine with a passenger train into North Platte. Gordon, I want te to take a GP9 diesel with a short freight over Sherman Hill, and into a gasoline depot. Orion, and Metal Gloss, you'll take engine 3985 with a freight train into Laramie. Get to work.
Then, everypony left Pete's office, and started getting ready for work.
Ike: *Arrives* Hi everypony.
Hawkeye: You're late.
Ike: Yeah, I know. I had to stop to get gas for my car.
Hawkeye: Right, Pete told us that all of our diesels have radios.
Ike: I can listen to Musica while driving a train?
Stylo: te could, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Ike: Ah, so I can talk to everypony driving other trains.
Hawkeye: Yep.
Ike: Okay, I'm gonna go see Pete. *Walks to Pete's office*
Hawkeye: te know what I was thinking?
Stylo: What?
Hawkeye: I wanted to throw a party at my house. We'll use the radio on our train to invite everypony. Tonight at 8 PM.
