Although we’re pretty pleased that Matt Cardle won The X Factor – as is he, with all the pussy he’s going to get – listening to what would have been the new One Direction single is a bit sad. We can still see their disappointed little faces now.

It took about three minuti for the boys’ cover of Forever Young to get leaked onto YouTube, and it’s already racked up 40,000 hits. And although it may cost us our strada, via cred (it’s fine, we’ve got loads of it anyway, innit bruv), we quite like it.

AN EXCITED group of local girls got a belated Natale present when they met X Factor heartthrobs One Direction.

Cowie’s Caitlin Liddell (13), and pals Bryony Devlin (16) and Shannon Smith (13) were the envy of their Friends after getting the chance to chat to teen idols Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

If ever there was a moment for an awkward tartaruga then this has got to be it. Before anyone had even heard of 'pussygate', before the X Factor 2010 had started, before One Direction EVEN EXISTED (we genuinely can't remember what that was like, we just know it was a darker time), Harry Styles was getting into trouble with the ladies.Harry's admitted that he once got caught out in letto with a girl.
