After everyone left the New Religion household, Carl asked, "Did te have a good birthday, Paul?" Paul said, "It was the best. I had no idea te were doing all this for me." Erin said, "We thought it would be nice to throw a surprise party for you, since you've never had one." Lola said, "Yeah. te really surprised me on my twenty-first birthday, Paul. I had to return the favor." Paul smiled at his mates, and they smiled back. He offered to help his mates clean up, but Erin insisted that he go on to bed. She said, "You look tired. I think te deserve a rest." Paul proceeded to get ready for bed. When he got into his bed, he was so exhausted that he fell asleep before his head hit the pillow. Erin, Carl, and Lola finished cleaning up, and they went to check on Paul. He was sound asleep, but he didn't have the covers on him. Erin gently covered him up so that he could stay warm. She then stroked his hair and whispered, "Good night, Paul." She quietly slipped out of the room with Carl and Lola. Lola said, "I think we should call it a night." Carl said, "I agree." Erin said, "I'm glad Paul had a good birthday." Lola said, "Me too." They then went to their beds for the night.

Summer Vacation has been great so far. While I've been enjoying school più since I've gained a couple of friends, it's nice to have a break from it. I also received some exciting news. On July 9, I am going to be in Chicago to see The Devil Wants Peace in concert! I was so excited when my uncle told me he was able to afford the tickets. I later told my friend, Michael, "You should have seen me when my uncle told me the good news. I was jumping up and down, crying tears of joy." Normally, I'm not that excitable, but The Devil Wants Peace is one of my preferito bands. Since I was six, I dreamed of seeing them live, and now, I can stop dreaming. This dream is becoming a reality. I don't know if I'll be lucky enough to meet them, but the fact that I'm lucky enough to see them is great.
