Hey who chose Maurice? I don't want him to get kicked off the show :(

There've been plenty of episodes that were awesome with Marlene. But I can't imagine PoM without any of the penguins or Julien, and Julien can't exist without Maurice, and every good show needs a Mort, soo... Yeah. Marlene would have to go in my opinion. Sorry Skileners and Metallica!

I don't like how Marlene's written. She's basically there to nag at everyone else, be the butt of everyone's jokes, and does nothing other then be 'the chick' on the show. I can't stand how she puts up with Skipper. Like... Skipper has a lot of qualities I really don't like. He's a good character, yeah – and terribly funny to boot, but he's always brushing her off and being downright rude to her. I think... that without her, I would like Skipper so much more. It's because of her, that I see all his negative qualities and resent him for it because I'd like her to be a strong female character rather then the nag the writers make her out to be. She has the potiental to BE so much more. And I think that's what I can't stand.

ok here is a better answer:
Marlene has not been in every epi, therefor we are use to being without her. Julien, Mort, and Maurice, their there much more then Marlene. And we have seen them in the moives, making them tolerable. (or liked) If the writters suddenly took her off the show, we would at least be ok with it. Taking a penguin or lemur off would be a bit too much for the fans im guessing. i also agree with evviefox up there. She could have been written a bit better.

The worse that could happen to her is getting sent to another zoo. But i think all the characters are going to be there for like, ever.

After consideration, and reading evviefoxx and SPKR's comments, I changed my pick. The only reason I didn't vote Marlene is because I'm a total feminist-and if the only reoccuring female in the show is a surly zookeeper who hates her job and...pretty much everything, I wouldn't really like that. But I guess it doesn't really matter in some ways; the show has had lots of episodes without her, and it could keep going without her-sorry, Metallica! D:

Because Marlene is fairly boring, I'll admit it. She's not even the most 'attractive' character on the show, she really isn't that great.

I'm not into gender discriminations but I chose Marlene, because as the others stated, she doesn't really have a significant part in the series and to anyone's opinion, the show can carry on pretty well without her, just like how everyone does in the Madagascar movies. :)
