Well hello there fellow spriters and wanna-be spriters! Today, our lesson is on Recolors! The art of simply changing the colori of a sprite. Theses are quite easy, and basically anyone can do this. Also, before we begin, the answer to the precedente "SPRITER'S CHOICE!"! The Dusk-line were....A! Recolors! *Trainer's choice theme plays* Alright, let's begin!
Step 1-MUST have a editing program.
To begin your recolor, te must have the proper equipment. In this case, an editing program. This can differ from spriter to spriter. I prefer to use Paint.NET, but te may end up using something entirely different. To find one, just cerca Google for "picture editing program" o something like that.
Step 2-Choosing your sprite.
Again, this will change just about every time. In my example here, I will use a Registeel, and make it look like gold. (I don't mean clean it up to make it as good as gold, I mean a Golden Registeel :P). Many sites specialize in having sprites. link is an absolute preferito da many, and has basically EVERY sprite.
Step 3-Now, the work begins
Duh duh duh! Now, to begin! Download the image to your computer and then open it up on the program. (Some browsers and computers can "drag" them, like mine.) Now that the image has loaded, select a color to make it. te really better know how to do this...XD
Now, go pixel-by-pixel, changing the color of each square. Soon, te will have changed the sprite into your very own "shiny" Pokemon! Way to go!
Step 4-Take Credit!
Now, a VERY important thing to do, write your e-mail, name, website, ect. in the corner! This is YOUR piece of work, so te want to take credit! And won't wanna have someone steal it, Team Rocket loves to steal stuff on the internet! XD
And so, that's it! Hope te Wanna know what we're doing successivo time? Well, I won't tell ya! Gonna have to wait! Sooooo....
