We've seen Sonic take some pretty brutal hits through his life span. And some of those hits just might make te wonder "how in hell did he manage to survive THAT!?"
Well, that's what I'm going to try to explain.
Despite common efforts on the TV mostra spectrum to mostra otherwise just to add a dramatic effect, Sonic has never taken fall damage, and probably never will. This means that he has some absolutely Duralast branded legs, which is good, because it explains how he managed to run indefinitely for about 78 hours straight, give to take about 6-12 hours on Sonic X. Sure, he couldn't stop from running, but eventually, he'd've worn himself out to the point where he could've died da overheating, considering he was also doing this IN THE DESERT!
And speaking of overheating, Sonic has an EXTREMELY large range of temperatures which he can survive in. He's been able to run through an active volcano, and he didn't overheat. He also managed to run through snowy/icy areas without a single hint of frostbite in the least.
Now, movement does make heat, but it doesn't make as much heat as te would think when you're talking about Sonic. If otherwise, he could have a chance at overheating. And to add another note to the cold factor of the snowy/icy areas, Sonic may have body friction on his side, but imagine the windchill Sonic must feel when running at such speeds.
In Sonic X, Sonic has survived being completely FROZEN, and surviving with low amounts of air, if any at all. After all, he was riding the X-Tornado on the outside, and he left the atmosphere practically. te know how when something enters the atmosphere, it burns up, Well, if it leaves the atmosphere, it freezes. Strange, isn't it?
The, te have Sonic Generations. And this one will completely convince te that Sonic can survive anything and everything Dr.R throws at him: Sonic can survive being crushed.
What the hell? I thought that it was a well known rule that Sonic can't survive being crushed. I also thought that Sonic's imperviousness to falls also made him impervious to bottomless pits. But there's two problems with that:
A: I haven't played Sonic 2 to the point of the 'Stupid Pit' in Mystic Cave, which is somewhat technically a bottomless pit.
B: When you're talking a planet, o a celestial body, to be più exact, there's only so far DOWN te can go before te start going UP. Unless, that is, that Dr.R specifically dug out those holes so that they reach the exact center of the core. But wait, wouldn't they be spewing lava then, and be fissers, instead of bottomless pits? And if the bottom is made of EXPOSED magma, which instantly becomes lava, the superiore, in alto layaer of lava will cool, making a layer of rock. Remember when we established that Sonic can A: survive extreme heats, and B: survive any falls?
Now, with all this being tossed around, Sonic does seem to mostra some sort of weakness against sharp objects and the metal that Dr.R uses for his robots.
In one of the comic books, we're told that Sonic's super sharp quills are the one's doing the damage in the spin dash and the roll, so its fairly sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza to assume that the same can be applied to the homing attack. That being said, Sonic has some sort of weakness to the kind of metal Dr.R uses to make his machines. te see, If Sonic is running with full speed towards a wall, e hits the wall, and takes no damage whatsoever. One touch from the machines, and te know something's in that metal.
As for the sharp objects, he's always had a weakness for them. Always.
Also, Sonic can't swim, which also goes hand in hand with the fact that he needs to breathe.
So, theoretically, there's only a couple of ways te can possibly kill Sonic:
-Drown/Suffocate
-Impale
-Use secret metal
Be Prowd, and be happy that there is a way for Sonic to die. Otherwise, Dr.R would just quit, and that;s the end of the franchise, unless some other villain comes in to take his place. Better a known devil than a new one.
Starclan be with te all.
