Marvel Hires More Writers For Its Upcoming Hawkeye Series
series last week, and now, it looks like the studio continues to blaze forward by adding even more writers to the writing team of the upcoming Disney+ live-action series.
According to a report by Comic Book Review, Marvel has just hired Katie Mathewson and Tanner Bean to join the writing staff of the
live-action series. The two are now set to join head writer and showrunner Jonathan Igla in the production of the upcoming
series, giving Marvel even more productive focus as it works on the show.
These new production updates seem to assuage fans' concerns over the upcoming series. There had been rumors going around that Marvel was going to delay work on the
live-action series after word came out that Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner had reportedly abused his ex-wife around his child. Disney denied the reports regarding the delay, and now it looks like the series’ production is blazing forward with Marvel bringing in two more writers into the show’s writing team.
Despite the allegations that Renner “threatened to kill himself and his ex-wife,” fans are still eager to see Hawkeye get his live-action series on Disney+. The sharpshooter has always been an important member of the Avengers, and he’s been a staple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though Marvel’s failed to explore Hawkeye’s story in a standalone movie, the studio has been able to give the character his very own series on Disney’s new streaming site, Disney+. The new series means a lot to Clint Barton’s fans.
has yet to receive a release date, but word has it that the series is going to premiere sometime in Fall 2021.
